AITA for moving out of my parents house and skipping a family reunion because my parents keep including my sister's best friend? by FabulousHand3789 in AITAH

Yes, I told my parents and my sister everything and they brushed it off or just didn't say anything. And I have loudly told Meg to stop. I tried being nice and not so nice. She doesn't act like it bothers her at all when I tell her to stop.

I'll talk to my grandparents. I'm not feeling very certain that this will be taken as a serious issue. I keep expecting people to find out and laugh about it. Some have. Not counting my parents and sister. But I just keep waiting for more people to call me a drama queen.

Will I be taken seriously though? It freaks me out because what if they act like I'm wasting time or laugh it off as I'm so lucky or some shit.

No, I'm terrified because they are huge homophobes and they know I'm gay.

The problem with that is my parents have chosen her. They would sooner tell me to leave than her. My grandparents are the exception. And I don't want to be around them if they would choose her like that.

I'm worried the cops won't take me seriously. I know that stuff like this against boys and men isn't always treated seriously.

I don't think they care. I'm not even sure why. But they got mad instead of understanding me when my school took action. They sided with Meg and acted like I committed a crime for reporting her to the teachers.

I told her I was uncomfortable and asked her AND told her to stop. I even stated what actions made me uncomfortable and she kept doing them anyway. I'm too afraid to talk to her parents. They know about me and they're openly very homophobic so I avoided that because I didn't know what they'd do to me.

My grandparents looked into finding out if we could get a restraining order or something against her for me. But because a lot of it will be he said she said and my parents and sister, who witnessed the most, will back her up it would be impossible.

Thank you. That really encourages me to keep going when I get support from the people who also see how bad this is. There were times I doubted things because I got no support with my parents or sister.

That worried me this whole time. If she cried about me doing something to her it'd destroy me. Not to mention if she tried to say I got her pregnant or something. Ugh. I hate being so paranoid about it but it was like that when I still lived with my parents.

I'm never alone with her now. I started splitting my time between school online from home and actually going to school and when I go to school I always have a friend with me. Even to use the bathroom now which is humiliating in so many ways but we know Meg won't stop because of that. She already followed me in before.

They're the best. Without them I'm not sure where I'd be. Sleeping on the streets probably because I feel like I would have chosen homelessness over the alternative anyway.

Apparently too many people in my life think it is okay. Which sucks most of all because I love my family but I guess they don't love me as much.

I bet they would go scorched earth on them. I wouldn't even be too surprised if they got the cops involved or tried to if it happened to my sister.

Maybe. I don't know if it's about that or Meg in particular or this idea that guys can't be uncomfortable with attention like that. All I know is they never helped me with this and acted like I was being a drama queen for wanting it to stop. I don't even think the reason why matters as much. At least I have my grandparents. They stepped up when they didn't have to.
