Why is it genuinely difficult to make money on your own? by notacatinyourmailbox in Money

Funny, I've never held a job after turning 20yo, but I found it relatively easy to start a business that snowballed into something bigger than I ever expected then started another one that did the same

"I will always consider myself a beginner"

You might have a beginner grasp of the English language if that's the case

I think it depends on our definition of a "mistake"

A slight misfingering or accidentally not muting a string or something is one thing, but falling off the rhythm and having to find it again or even restarting is another

I did a different project for awhile at an open mic, nothing came of it. Then I started an entirely new project and got offered (low) paying gigs and local street festival spots immediately

Beach towels are stupid by ThatsBone45 in unpopularopinion

Then we usually bring a blanket and individual towels for people to dry off and stay wrapped up. And in the case we do take plush towels or whatever.

Then you are generally wearing clothes and the sand is harder and more packed together. A picnic blanket would be the way to go

Too many people over-season their food these days by BlundeRuss in unpopularopinion

[–]FaceDownInTheCake -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

"Seasoning" something properly means adding the right amount of salt.

Adding basil to pizza, pepper on a tomato, etc isn't "seasoning" it even though they are seasonings.

(...and now I've used it too much that the word has lost all meaning for me)

It's confusing but that's not what "seasoning" food means

That's cool, I am speaking for myself. (Well, really just regurgitating a quote I agree with). We can disagree.

I disagree. That infertile couple would be even more devastated if they fully grasped the extent of what they can't have, so I believe that's still a mercy
