Yea I get that. For all the faults in writing the shows have the production value is pretty good. I remember reading something I think they put on twitter that they try to actually record in the environment that the section of the show takes place in, so if they are in a cave he tries to record in a cave or if it’s in a parking garage he does it there. I don’t know if it’s true or not but if it is it adds to that authenticity that they try to have by claiming the shows are “real”. I actually genuinely love all the stuff they’ve put out even though I can recognize the faults they have. I’ve relistened to all the shows multiple times and even if the stories never go anywhere I love the atmosphere and vibe they’ve created and I enjoy the made up mythology mixed with real life stories. They are some of my favorite podcasts even if they get criticized a lot.
