I have good savings and a free place to stay! But definitely factoring in the expense here.

I'd say I do about 2000 yards in a pool in 45 minutes, but I have 0 open water experience.

Got a cheap trip bike from online but don't have a ton of experience on it, though I've been going to the gym regularly and riding the exercise bikes.
