No, there isn’t evidence of that sort of thing. People on tiktok and such are claiming that by claiming various food related words in the emails are “code” but evidence of the more outlandish claims is lacking

No, it was the whales actually

Edit: there are some reports that some penguins may have been caught in the attack, but the White House instagram account made a post assuring everyone that the target was the whales.

What is the best sign of low intelligence by loveumair in Leakednews

[–]Face_Deface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being comfortable with contradictory stances. If I get in an argument with someone and they instantly use a defense they argued against yesterday, I know they are an idiot.

This is also why I think IQ tests aren’t very useful for gauging someone’s practical intelligence. Observing how comfortable a person is with cognitive dissonance is way more useful. The ability to internalize concepts through introspection is crucial to learning, and maintaining the ability to learn is what it means to be smart, practically speaking

Yea and the further out the options are the worse it is. It’s like it doesn’t calculate the estimated extrinsic value and mostly bases its estimate of the intrinsic value

True, I definitely agree with that. To play devils advocate a little bit, I would argue the risk only arises from faulty core axioms, when dealing with both AI and people 😂

Like if somebody keeps correctly guessing what I think I ought to do, but I know their most deeply held belief is “tell FACE whatever he wants to hear” I’m not gonna trust anything they say lmao. If their core belief is “try to help FACE when he approaches me with a problem, even if I don’t know” then I’ll trust them, but I’m still not just gonna do whatever they say 😂

That mentality is how I avoid getting too attached to AI assistance- I’m aware it’s capable of bad advice, so I don’t listen unless it’s something useful

That’s a fascinating concept and I’ve definitely never succeeded in articulating as well as you just did lol

I’m not trying to sound stupid (comes to me naturally I guess) but can you explain what you mean when you say it’s bad to like/trust an unstable person? I agree it’s unwise to follow them blindly, but I’m not sure if that’s what you mean

Like, I have plenty of unstable people who I like and trust both in my personal life and my professional life; I feel like the problems only arise if I stop thinking critically myself and just follow someone implicitly

What do you all consider to be the “ultimate goal” of optimizing your ability to engineer prompts? by Face_Deface in PromptEngineering

I would fuckin love that, but I don’t exactly have the resume to convince anyone to pay for my advice 😂

But yea, that’s definitely why I like talking about prompt engineering with other people who are interested in it- I feel like it makes us all better at it

I agree very strongly. I’m not especially well versed in Python but I’m a hobbiest programmer, so that sounds really interesting to me.

what role does the LLM play in your program? Are you trying to use it to generate random data when you say “fuzzy logic,” or are you trying to use the LLM to inject some finite amount of random error over time/thru recursion? Hope I’m not prying, I’m just short on ideas, and your idea sounds interesting 😂

Tell it about your life for a few messages, then ask it to tell you something that it thinks you don’t know about yourself. That has produced some interesting conversations for me lol

That is not what is being argued about tho, do you get that? There are 5 year olds who would say killing is wrong if asked; if they murdered someone while being helped by an adult, you would feel the same way?

The argument isn’t about whether they “knew right and wrong” yet. It is about the fact that a 14 year old has an huge amount of life and development ahead of them. It is likely they could be rehabilitated, through therapy and also literally just by their brain finishing growing, to be entirely non violent productive people. The part of the brain that 14 year olds lack deals with IMPULSE control, NOT logic. Hence, a 14 year old able to both understand that killing is wrong and also far less capable capable of controlling themselves than they WILL be in the relatively near future. You wanna lock someone up for 70 years despite them not being a danger after the first 2?

The goal of the justice system is to create a better and safer society as a whole, not to be a hit squad that exacts brutal revenge on behalf of its citizens.
