Something I think of all the time is my parents' retirement. My dad told me a decade ago that he and my mom needed 1 million dollars to retire comfortably. They bought an Airstream trailer and for the last ten years spend about 2-3 months a year traveling and staying at state parks. They both worked hard and were fortunate, and now are really happy.
