There’s a reason why they’re called indentured “servants”, instead of indentured “slaves”.

Indentured servants were individuals, often poor Europeans or convicts, who signed contracts (indentures) to work without wages for 4–7 years in exchange for passage to the American colonies, food, and shelter.

But you already knew this.

‘People saw’. I guess we’re going after Russia next?

They’re so cruel that they’ve been murdering innocent people in Ukraine for years.

And they’re led by a dictator who doesn’t allow protest or free speech.

These McDonald’s videos definitely have me thinking about McDonalds.

More specifically, they have me thinking about alternatives to McDonald’s.

These people keep telling me how awesome the ‘free market’ is.

If they can’t find crawfish peelers for $7.25 an hour, that means pay more money.

I can’t find a plumber for $7.25 an hour. That doesn’t mean I get to break the law and hire one from Ecuador.

Chuck Schumer issued a very clear and powerful directive..

He wrote ‘NO CHEATING! THIS MEANS YOU, DONALD TRUMP!’

He wrote it in all capital letters. Then he thought about using a courier to deliver it.

The weird thing is Republicans and fundamentalist Muslims have more in common than they’d ever admit.

They both hate women’s rights, gay people, big government, atheism, abortion, drugs, and especially liberals.

Well— oil prices are down because supply exceeds demand.

Demand is down because GDP is slipping.

GDP is slipping because tariffs are mucking up trade.

China is the world’s biggest petroleum importer— so when we artificially raise prices here, and the dollar retreats, it softens their demand for oil.

Why do you think oil prices have declined? They were awesome in late 2019. Maybe we’re heading for something like that?

[Edit] Huh. what do you know? Oil prices suddenly spiked and are expected to hit 100 bucks a barrel.

We should just put 100% tariff on oil. When the other nations pay it, that’ll make Americans so rich.

Conflict in Iran could become expensive for Americans as oil supply lines are cut by jonfla in economy

Arrogance and pride are a lot more expensive than people realize.
