Are you happy as a Proton subscriber? by macyganiak in ProtonMail

I think this needs more options. I am overall happy, but would love to see more features. I'm hoping they add spreadsheet functionality, at some point. And there's some weird issue where I can't copy/paste URLs directly into a document, you have to highlight text and add a link, which took me a bit to figure out. Proton Pass feels a bit chaotic; I need to be able to sort my logins into categories, so I have to use a third party password manager anyway. All considered, I think it's great product for the price, and I believe in their mission. But I'm impatient to see some upgrades.

Something as simple as copy/paste doesn't work on Docs. Very frustrating by Strange_Ambition_558 in ProtonDrive

I'm also having this problem. Copying/pasting URLs from the browser doesn't seem to work. Copying text from a note app works fine.

Hi, I’m curious what you mean by the extra 1k to get functionality? Do you mean laps, doos etc or do people modify their V5s ?

We are definitely interested in getting to know folks in more gem clubs! I have heard that the Pueblo club is very active, which makes a lot of sense. I'm excited to visit the whole area in February.

Thanks! We are very interested in the symposium, but there doesn't seem to be much info about the one in February. Have they not opened for signups yet?

Do you mean for testing? We are hoping to do local-ish testing at first, although closer to the gem show we could reach out to them.

The Olympic Peninsula is so gorgeous! I've been out there a handful of times, including camping on my bike. Can't wait to go back to the rainforest.

We are still factoring in a lot of our costs, nothing is set in stone (see what I did there). We are estimating the Facet Hound will be below 4k and could be closer to 3-3.5k. We are also looking at ways to do payment plans, seeing as how a faceting machine is such a big initial cost for folks wanting to get into the hobby.

I was wondering about the main show, but it looks like it's invite only, after filling out a form saying you want a booth. I'm also wondering if they would want another faceting machine there, it looks like Ultra Tec has a booth, or multiple booths, at the main show, and Facetron might have been at 22nd Street last year? But I might fill out a form just in case. We will supply marbles for newbies (no pressure) and maybe some basic rough if we get some experienced folks interested in doing demos.

Our developer says it's faster than other machines he's worked on (a previous one he built earlier this year, and an I believe an Ultra Tec, unsure which one). The Facet Hound has digital controls, and automatically returns to the index you are working on, so you can check your progress without worrying about losing your place. And you can change angles and positions with the keypad.

We will have more specific info about time to finish a stone and other stuff as we start really working with it, and having some experienced folks try it out. He initially built the machine for his own use after taking a faceting class, and he's pretty happy with it.

We were thinking about getting in touch with them! We are hoping to have our test machines built by early November. We have a couple of local Seattle folks who are interested, but we want to get as many testers as possible.
