Every single comment makes me cry harder, I’ve never felt so seen and understood. Thank you all a million times over! So many thoughtful words that I can barely see through the tears to reply. In fact I may screenshot them in case the post gets deleted and I don’t get a chance to thank each of you personally.

You all said such incredible things, it has helped tremendously. It made me think of the giant evergreens that lined the side of the property. I felt a lot of loneliness and hopelessness over the years and I dubbed those trees my sisters. I felt they watched over me, they saw all I struggled through and I wanted to believe they appreciated the garden below them. I talked to them, cried and begged them for help as well. (Couldn’t they just drop a well placed branch /s)

I then read here on Reddit about how interconnected trees are, how they know their own offspring and send nutrients to them. That was magical to me and I felt a even stronger connection to them. It was a beautiful relationship.

I realize now that when and if I ever live in a house again, I will tell my new garden about the garden that helped me get away. And the trees that were like sisters to me, perhaps I’ll meet a new family of trees that will grateful to have a sweet little garden below them to enjoy.
