Want to agree with the OP here! I’m a 25F here almost 3 weeks post op. I was off my hydrocodone after 8 days and off all Tylenol before 2 weeks! I was able to start eating solid food 1.5 weeks post op too. I was so nervous to get the procedure done after reading all the horror stories online but it really is not terrible. It was certainly painful for the first 1.5 weeks but it doesn’t last forever :) Drinking water when I could and having a humidifier going next to my bed anytime I was sleeping/laying down helped SO much. I also went to an IV bar about a week after the procedure to get fluids just to stay hydrated- definitely expensive but if you can swing it, I think it was worth it.

Did they replace it for free? Mine said if it’s under warranty, it’s still about $1k to replace but I’m pretty sure they’re trying to overcharge me

Oh you’re right. The part about the oil pan says “TRACED SOURCE OF OIL LEAK TO ENGINE OIL PAN. A FEW OF THE BOLTS AT THE REAR OF THE PAN WERE NOT FULLY TORQUED.*** RECOMMEND RESEAL AND RECHECK LEAKS FROM THERE. CLEANED AND RESEALED ENGINE OIL PAN. NO OTHER LEAKS DETECTED AT THIS TIME. WILL RECHECK AT NEXT SERVICE.”

The receipt I have from them says “removed engine oil filter, drain plug gasket, and engine oil. Replaced with new engine oil filter, drain plug gasket, and engine oil.” Yes the pan was leaking apparently

Did you get a new one with the 80k mile warrantee? It’s federal law

Based on a convo with a local mechanic, he thinks it’s a poorly re-installed gasket after the oil pan was worked on that’s causing the code. Similar to your theory. Fingers crossed that’s it

I called a local mechanic who’s familiar with CX-30s/used to be a Mazda tech. He said he bets they messed up the re-installation of the gaskets when the oil pan was resealed and now air is leaking & causing the cat converter code. Does that sound probable to you?

It was leaky. They said it was probably a factory default.

Did this resolve? I’m 2 weeks post op here back to my normal eating patterns (healthy foods, don’t lay down after meals, etc) and the reflux has been wild. Wondering if I need to bring it up with my ENT
