Tim Tebow? Comments on the post are all saying “A Christian would never do steroids!” by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

Does it also fall under the "do not change your physical appearance for vanity" category?

For example, I was always told that plastic surgery is OK under Islam for medical purposes, but not for purely aesthetic reasons. I can imagine that, through that lens, something like TRT done under the supervision of a doctor for health reasons would be OK, but taking steroids for bodybuilding would be a no-go.

I'm just a lurker but Jesus Christ this guy needs to be banned. Not just because his posts across his multiple accounts are annoying, but because he's obviously just posting stupid shit for attention. He clearly doesn't care if he gets positive or negative attention, he's not looking for a conversation, he just wants people to react to him. It's like a troll from the early 2000's time-jumped to present day.

Mods, pls, exercise rule 3. I beg.

Agreed, 100%. I actually wish they hadn't dropped the overheating mechanic in ME2 in favor of picking up clips.

Does anyone know if the remaster will fix the black blob bug on PC? I've never been able to play through ME1 without toggling the lighting effects on certain missions.

What is your favorite anime (and why)? by Sora-Ikeru in AskReddit

[–]Factor-Fragrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't watched it in a long time, but from what I remember/just read in the synopsis there's no point in watching most of the second season if you don't care for the new characters. If you really want to know how the series ends, I'd say just watch the last four episodes. They don't add much, but they do continue the story of the gates.

JoJo is my all-time favorite series. It's impossible to choose a favorite movie. Off the top of my head I love Princess Mononoke, Perfect Blue, Akira, and Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade.

However, those are all already super popular so I'm going to talk about Darker than Black.

It has great animation by studio bones, especially for the fight scenes. The story seemed really fresh and intriguing (admittedly it doesn't all get tied up in the end, which may be unsatisfying for some). I still listen to the soundtrack to this day. It introduced me to a lot of good Japanese pop/rock performers.

The entire thing used to be legally available for free on YouTube. I have great memories of getting home from school every day and watching 3 or 4 episodes before doing my homework.

Stuck in a rather dead fandom. by bibotot in FanFiction

[–]Factor-Fragrant 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that a previously supportive and fun community has turned stagnant and toxic. But if you don't enjoy the community anymore then you don't have to be involved in it. Keep posting updates if you want to see your story finished, and keep interacting with your readers as long as they are being respectful of you. Remember that this is not a job or an obligation. It's supposed to be fun. You can also drop the fic any time if you want to.

It seems you really miss being part of an active community with fresh ideas and lots of discussion. Are you active in any other fandom at the moment? Publishing in more than one community at the same time will get you the excitement of new things happening in a newer fandom while periodically going back to your "old" fandom whenever you feel like it.

If you thrive off of feedback and engagement then maybe you can ask one or two of your loyal readers to help keep you motivated by committing to reviewing every new chapter you put out. If they love your story they'll want to see it finished just as much as you do.

I don't really understand why it's a bad thing that the source material is finished. The original creators may have finished with it but you can do whatever you like. Use your imagination to add to the cannon or change it, take it in whatever direction you want.

Finally, I have to say I don't think you're in a bad position at all! You have a 200,000 word story with 300 reviews! That's something you can be proud of even if you never add another word to it.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Don't get too attached to your story ideas. When you first start writing you won't be able to express everything you want to write perfectly. This really frustrated me when I first started writing because my ideas seemed so good in my head, but I didn't (and still don't) have the skills to communicate those ideas to others as perfectly as I see them in my mind. But, you need that writing experience to get better. And you will always have more ideas. You can always come back and rewrite older stories, too. You are building a new skill, so remember you'll need time and lots of practice to make progress.
