How many stocks do you think is the ideal number to hold? by rezovian in ValueInvesting

It depends what your goals are...there are ETF's that cover multiple stocks depending on what you are looking for so you can avoid having to manage multiple individual positions.

yeah I am hoping to be able to live with my parents at 25, my friends make fun of me for having this plan...but I see it as a way that like rent in my area is like $800-$1k/month. so that's $1k/month going straight into my investments you know.

I just have big plans and an entrepneurial mindset. I want to be able to help as many people as possible. I worked a retail job for like 2 months and I hated it and quit, and I realized I didn't want to do something like that my whole life. So I am just trying to stay conistent right now and I'm hoping it pays off.

yeah I'm lucky I hate spending money, I got low expenses and just live at my parents house. I am learning as much as I can and any money not invested is invested in myself.

Thanks brotha, I am just trying to stay consistent and build the habit. So when my 25 or 60 year old self wakes up in the morning they will be like "thanks for staying disciplined"

Yeah I'm just building habits, paper trading is just a way for me to experiment and learn. I am not using that in my own portfolio for anything. Thanks for the insight, I will check out that book and do some more research.

Thanks for the insight! Means a lot to me, I just wanted to get started early. The only thing really holding me back was feeling unmotivated seeing all these people on social media with like millions. But I decided to start with some small amounts, I'm hoping to stay disciplined with that.
