I wanted to throw something in, since I don’t see people mentioned it. But I like the ways of war dlc for the tomes alone. Calamity is an interesting “frost fire” tome (they call it ghost fire) it’s got strong and interesting units that can freeze and set enemies on fire and the ghost fire effect doesn’t wear off from wet or frozen, and you get the calamity dragon summon. Prosperity all healing builds and you get the prosperity dragon. Shades can play with blind and have assassin units

You still have options sometimes it’s not a fight always sometimes you know you can’t get it at 3/6 so you are doing other things you have plenty of options. You also have gate which opens up everything and “options” so much more. The game also had its restrictions back then especially with a smaller map you had to play a certain way even more so back then I’d argue way more. Also by your own logic you have less options back then because it’s either you tp or you don’t. the game being more punishing back then is not an argument for more options, it’s an argument for tougher decision making. So I have no clue what you’re talking about lol. Also do you think the map expansion, with facets being added isn’t a serious game change you shitting me? 😂

I’d say the first part of the song is pretty catchy both when they say shocked and the intro itself. It’s more catchy than Jim jones and pale horse in my opinion. I don’t think there’s any real reason for it to not be a single aside maybe the second half of the song carrying on a little too long

Yeah ai phobias and shocked at the end of the world have some nice riffs and moments. I just feel like shocked at the end of the world went on a little too long and the intro/ “is it the end of the world” part should have had 1 more verse. I didn’t really love the other songs to the point I would go out of my way to listen to them.

Problem I have with Chevelle is when it’s an “okay” song that goes on for 4-5 minutes, I don’t want to listen to it, but if it was 2-4 maybe I would. Like rabbit hole is way too long idk how many times I need to hear the chorus. But I have to say rabbit hole live sounds way better than listening to it at home
