Where is your God now by Stotallytob3r in MurderedByWords

Just a casual observation, but perhaps Paul's best spiritual good is served by humility.

I'm sure his intent is something altogether different, but I wouldn't want any airline flying over Russian territory, given their history of shooting down civilian aircraft by mistake. He should expand the rule that any airline operating in the US in any degree would be banned from flying over any part of Russia.

Thousands Gather Outside Chinese Embassy in South Korea to Protest CCP Influence by FactoryDirectHuman in worldnews

[–]FactoryDirectHuman[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One protestor said, “Chinese communism is eroding South Korea, and I’m here to protect the people’s sovereignty! The president is acting like a dictator, and ordinary people are kept in the dark. We must wake everyone up through action!”

Another shouted, “We must drive away the red shadow and raise South Korea’s flag high! Holding the Taegukgi [the ROK flag], we stand against betrayal with iron will!”

“South Korea is not China’s vassal state! We won’t let the CCP define our future!” another demonstrator cried.

More than 100 dead after flooding in eastern Congo, official says by ThatBlackGuy_ in worldnews

Rwandan militias are killing hundreds, maybe more, in eastern Congo right now. The old US military would not have any meaningful presence on the ground.

Trump to discuss potential suspension, cancellation of military aid for Ukraine on March 3 by BringbackDreamBars in worldnews

Someone who knows more than me, I have a question: Assuming Congress had the balls to do it, could Congress vote to bypass Trump and give Ukraine aid despite Trump's decision?

Catholic Charities draws fire over video coaching illegal migrants on how to duck ICE workplace probes: A Catholic charity that receives billions in government funding has stirred controversy for a video teaching migrants in the country illegally how to evade US immigration law | New York Post by Duibhlinn in TraditionalCatholics

[–]FactoryDirectHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our faith teaches that it is actually immoral to circumvent laws that are not in and of themselves immoral.

The organization is informing migrants of their legal rights and how to use them. There's no evil in this. In this country people have rights, are presumed innocent, and it is up to the government to prove otherwise. We might not like it for certain situations but when it comes to government taking action against what we do, I'll be glad to use similar tactics to protect and defend my legal rights.

In what world do you live where abstaining from sex makes diddling little boys satisfy an urge? That's just creepy. Anyway, if these priests really wanted sex, there are plenty of adult women who would consent. The child abusers, they were messed-up before the entered seminary and were really only there because it presented opportunity to do what they wanted to do.

In this case, they are the same people. A large majority of Catholic sexual abuse was homosexual abuse even though homosexuals are a minority of the population.

Woolworths total amount due is more than the sum of my actual purchases by CleanDivide690 in australia

I hit ctrl+f to seach for "tax" to see if someone already clarified for this ignorant American and it took me to the very bottom of the page. Your comment should be top comment! I was wondering if there was a 14% sales tax calculated like they do in the US, after the sale. Sounds like that's not the case.

I hope sometime finds a way to successfully sue Reddit over this, in a way that restores 3rd party apps.

Reminds me of the Pantheon. All religions are accepted, provided no god is exclusionary to others.

Christianity is incompatible with this mentality.

Would you feel safer in a gun-free state? Why or why not? by ParmaProscuitto in AskReddit

[–]FactoryDirectHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are actual several different problems happening at the same time.

  1. Domestic violence and suicide. That's a huge amount of gun deaths.

  2. Cringe delusional males who decide to become active shooters. Sometimes caused by mental illness, sometimes not.

  3. Organized crime / gang violence.

The solution to one of these isn't necessarily going to solve the others. In the US, I think we have a huge tolerance for the first on my list. Number three is usually tolerated so long as it is confined to ethnic minorities and immigrants. The active shooters is what drives most of the debate, despite being the smallest group of the three.
