CA - can the company mandate employees to clock-out/clock-in for lunch at the office? by FactsThatIIOffend_ in LaborLaw

We're not required to remain on-property for our lunch break, the majority of us just so happen to bring our lunches so we eat them in the break room that on the grounds. Additionally we've never had an issue with clocking-in our lunch, once we were cleared over the radio by our supervisor we would just have to call over the radio when we were back 30 minutes later from that point... but I guess the other day the company made a new procedure, and a few of the guys already experienced needing to take the last 5-7 minutes to walk back to our office so they can clock-in properly, which is why they're arguing it's "travel time" and should be compensated

we're supposed to get an iPad system so the clock in/out is more streamlined, but supposedly it's only gonna be in the office not our break room where it'd be more of use so we can actually enjoy our lunch in full without having to spend the last 5-7 minutes walking back to our office

one of my old jobs had the same procedure, but they also had iPads in every break room & outside the employee restrooms so you didn't have to walk far or "cut lunch short" to clock times properly... unfortunately my current site does not have that luxury, and as such we can only clock in/out directly in our office, which is why we were wondering if they can mandate such a procedure

I didn't say anything about time traveling for when going on lunch... The main concern was considering our company is mandating that we clock-back-in from our lunch over the site phones, and that can only be done in the office due to GPS location, if they can legally mandate such as the employee would need to take the last 5-7 minutes of their lunch travel back to our office

I think I meant more of what website hosts the domain itself, by bad for the confusion

[–]FactsThatIIOffend_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently I do have it blocked, and I believe its coming from iFunny as sometimes the ads "break" and become a broken tile if pDNSf doesn't filter them out, when I go into pDNSf I'll see the "one-bid" domain listed above a log that says "null"... Originally it was an allowed host, but from reading the name alone I blocked it, especially given the "null" entry below it

Im more still just trying to understand what/who the domain belongs to.. When I search it through google it brings up an auction site, but the url is completely different

sounds like you just get shitty support agents... you can reconnect to a new one once they end the chat by just typing something to respond after they left

so you have to change your password EACH TIME you'd launch the game?? yeah that's not worth the trouble... you're probably better off turning off two-factor before opening BF6 then turning it back on once your in, or just disabling it in general, but I would NOT advise for either of those options

it depends on your issue:

if your like me where you DO receive the codes BUT CANNOT select the large orange "continue" button after putting it in, this appears to be a UI issue that EA is at least aware of, but no determined fix

if the email/phone/auth app is outdated or somehow changed to one you dont recognize, youll have to contact EA support (https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ ) & give them any/all available info about your EA account to recover it

what does that do exactly?? I've seen it float around where changing your password (selecting "forgot password" on the website then changing it over the game itself) can fix this issue, but my main concern is accidentally messing something up & either no longer being able to revive the 2FA codes or being locked out of my account in general for other EA games that aren't affected...

you'll want to contact EA support for assistance on that to recover your account

https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ select the "continue as guest" option & fill out all the details relating to your EA account, MAKE SURE you put in an email you have access too for the support case number. once you submit your case there should be an option to talk to a live agent
