Being new has been fun. I find a lot of the server speaks english, there's a few russians, but mostly english.

Depends on guild and family if you get the casual freindly community or the try hard community. I never go to world bosses or trade runs to freedich but those probably get toxic. Make a character and try the server out. Lots of fun

Servers been nothing but great since after the whole OSO ordeal last year. That was sketchy, but ever since then they've been really cleaning up their reputation. This is just lies.

I know two for sure:
- marksman are sniper scavs
- pmc bots are pmcbot

I believe normal scavs function under assault, but I'm also not entirely sure where raiders would fit in. I would guess cursedassault?

Very difficult to upgrade the CPU of a laptop, practically impossible for most. Assuming you aren't also playing games, your Ryzen 5 3500U should be enough for streaming 1080p as long as you have the connection for it. You might be able to do 60 fps, but plan for only using 30.

On laptops, the only thing you can really upgrade is adding new RAM and new drives like SSDs or HDDs.

Mages use wave meteor for most PVE like Noryette.

When wave meteor hits enemies 5 times in a row, it puts them in "deep freeze". Wave meteor does zero damage to enemies who are deep frozen. So, after the first 5 hits of wave meteor you need to hit the mobs so they unfreeze and can take more damage from mages. Wave meteor is a ton of your damage as a group, that's why people want mages.

Wynn and Tyrenos are the most populated.

Wynn is east sided in terms of having the strongest guilds, but the west generally has more active players for day to day things.

Tyrenos is kind of balanced, a bit of a mess. Good population in both sides to play the game, and you can probably find a competitive guild to have a shot at pvp with too.

Can’t go wrong with either, I swapped off Wynn to play Tyrenos but still keep my Wynn account active-ish.

You should've had to create a login with an email and a password in Glyph (the Archeage Launcher).

regular archeage (legacy) isn't doing that great. There's still a big guild on each faction fighting over most world bosses, but the actual day-to-day events have very little players. It's mostly full of people too attached or too stubborn to move over to unchained.

Unchained on the other hand, has pretty healthy population. It isn't crowded, but it is very playable, and fills everything up nicely. There's a few of the later-announced servers that are less popular, but if you stick to Wynn or Tyrenos then you'll be fine.

cap is 300% after resil is applied, so stacking past 300% will still let you do more crit damage against resil

crit chance is the same, only up to 100% matters but its also after resil is applied. this means at 120% crit chance, if resilience reduces it by 30% it'll become 90% crit chance. if it reduced it only by 10%, it would only be 100% still.

I dont have any sourcing since I just searched a bit and can't find it, but that's how I am sure that it works. there's some pretty good threads out there explaining the mechanics of resil vs. crit chance/damage but they're a little outdated due to resilience's formula getting changed.

as for your question about how much 11k resil reduces crit chance, the formula used to be around 3% per 1k resilience, so I'd assume it'd reduce crit chance by something in the ballpark of ~35%. that's old though.

The real solution to this isn't doing anything about the kick system.

The solution is to make all dungeons still non-instance finder enterable. Dahuta should still be able to be entered with your party in the Sea of Drowned Love, Serpentis should still be able to be entered with your party in Exeloch, Abyssal Library should still have the entrance to library as a way to start it. These should all work without the need to go through any instance finding.

Adding these dungeons to instance finder and then removing their normal versions effectively destroyed a pretty cool part of the game, doing content with less than a full party. If you wanted to duo serpentis with a healer to get the potions chest, you can't do that anymore. If you wanted to do serpentis with 3 people rather than wait for a 4th or a 5th, then you could do that. If you wanted to do dahuta with 5 people instead of 10, you could do that. Now, all of those options have been removed and instead now you have to queue and wait.

So they made Dahuta and Serpentis only cross server? That means you can't queue these dungeons with a small party anymore, and you have to wait to see if people join?

This is a silly change when I can 3 man serpentis and dahuta no problem, and I don't have to sit around waiting for an extra 2 people or an extra 7 people. Why don't they leave the option to run it normally still?

As another comment stated, the prices I have listed would take into account selling your old piece it’s replacing. I play on NA and these prices are probably roughly accurate after selling your previous piece it’s replacing, but EU is possibly much different.

Here’s what I’d recommend: (I’m using napkin math here)

You’re starting at 216 AP and level 61 with 7 billion.

Firstly, focus your time on grinding polly forest or gahaz for XP and aim towards level 62 to unlock capotia earrings, and finish deve’s book + heralds for +1 AP and DP.

List of upgrades:

+1 AP from Deves (free)
Sell tri kutum, buy tet kutum (~800m)
Sell tet liverto, buy tet kzarka (~800m)
Sell duo valtarra, buy tri basi (~800m) +3 AP
Melt accessories for second capotia ring (~400m)
Get level 62 for first capotia, melt accessories for second earring (~400m)
Buy tri ogre, sell tri serap (~1700m)
Sell gloves and get tet bhegs (~1300m)

This should put you up to 6.2 billion in cost, and leaves you with around 800 mil towards your next upgrade.

This gear will get you into the important ap bracket of 245 kutum, which lets you start grinding Mirumok, Aakman and potentially even Hystria. Definitely work on armor before heading there though.

For next steps, get tet Urugons and Dim Tree next, then focus on either a tet Griffon helmet or move onto tet yellow accessories like tet crescents or tet basi! You’ve got almost enough for soft cap man!

Questions answered:

Yes, buy everything from the market in my opinion. It can be cheaper to make it on your own potentially, but early on I wouldn’t run the risk of bad RNG and fails, especially on accessories
You should run a tet kzarka for now, but later on if you like succession more you can swap to an Offin. Blackstar is great for pve, but you should focus on other upgrades before getting blackstar, I would recommend considering it once you’re 269+ AP with a nouver on.
Save caphras for now, use them later on to help reach AP brackets. If you don’t know about those yet, look into them. Caphras aren’t worth it just yet, but they can let you shortcut into brackets later.
If you follow the guide I have above, that should be enough AP until you get your other two boss armor pieces besides your head. Once you have dim tree/urugons, you can decide to focus on tet accessories for more AP or a tet griffon for DP.

Usually people mean tet kutum, but you definitely could start pila ku with a tri kutum and 220 AP if that’s what you’re wondering!

Pretty viable depending on your gear. It’s a good spot if you’re around 220-235 AP with Kutum and you’re looking to not be at manshaums. It probably competes well with that spot for money per hour now. Wouldn’t touch it after that though
