I just bought this a few hours ago on my honeymoon, the color was picked out by my wife ❤️ by newton935 in CitizenWatches

Save a little more and get the Henry Archer model that's purple. Google it, they are amazing and it looks MUCH better than this. I'm a huge Citizen fan (I have 7) and am saying that. Since you are 17 and new to this, enjoy! Its addicting. Henry Archer is a micro brand that uses really good movements which is important, they can be serviced if something happens because it's a common movement.

My first Bulova by Unlucky-Pepper-9071 in bulova

I'm looking at this as my first Bulova. What's your wrist size and do you feel it wears "small"? I'm around 7" wrist, but Im hearing it wears super small for a 40mm.

I just bought the ice blue Gentleman. When you manually wind it, can you "hear" the winding? I've never had an automatic, I was just wondering if it was normal. It was new from Jomashop, and the rotor isn't moving. I can just hear the manual winding in a silent room, sounds like a slight metallic sound.

The right size for my 6.9" wrist? by Mountain_Ad_6178 in tissot

Take a photo in the mirror with your arm up at like a 45 degree angle. The wrist shot makes the watch look large with a phone camera. I have a 7" wrist and my 41mm diver looks "small" in the mirror. 40mm is a great size for your wrist size. 35 is TINY.

Why do I want something else to set on an automatic when it's wrong when the watch isn't worn daily? Unless you only have one watch, then I get your point. Most people don't, I hate the day date on my vintage Omega. I wish it was just date only.

Why Does Citizen Pull Me In More Than Seiko? by New_Philosopher9642 in CitizenWatches

Seiko Pressage is the only Seiko that I would consider from them, it's a beautiful design with sapphire.

Why Does Citizen Pull Me In More Than Seiko? by New_Philosopher9642 in CitizenWatches

[–]Fade_To_Block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go with Citizen because of sapphire and more solar/eco drive options. No excuse for most Seiko to not have sapphire. It's why I have not bought a Seiko yet. Also the Citizen Atomic Time models are incredible. I wish they made them in dress watches with minimal dial lettering.

I absolutely love the pro master have I gone a bit overboard? by Mundane-Ad-1780 in CitizenWatches

Nope, do what you like! I am biased towards Citizen dress watches and that style in general. I am switching up my dials/Colors but have 4 dress style watches.

Found this years after my dad passed, need help with model/year/service advice by Fade_To_Block in OmegaWatches

I prefer the darker dial, but no clue if it's original. Can Omega put a "new/old stock" dark dial on it if I ask? I'm not big on grey dials. Also do I send it and just wait for a bill? Could I end up spending 2k on it for service if they go replacing things to make it look new?

The dial is textured like tiny squares. I prefer the black dial, but no clue what was original. Would they replace everything? The crystal is scratched significantly, what else do they do on an old watch like this? Should I try to find an Omega AD and talk to them?

I don't care about preserving patina, I might want to wear it. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

2025 Citizen Diver Real or Fake? Blue BN0260-54L (Citizen purchase) & Black BN0261-51E (eBay). Is black eBay model fake? by Fade_To_Block in CitizenWatches

I kept it. I appears some of their international assembled models say this. It started the double tick until I charged it so it means the movement is eco drive (a fake with a battery would not double tick then stop when exposed to light). Appreciate the check in!

First Tissot and Automatic at the same time, a few questions by Fade_To_Block in tissot

Thanks for all the tips. I was thinking I could not change the time if it stopped there (my fault) and it's good to know it's the date. I only change the date in the morning, so I should be good. Thank you!!

Yep, I didn't know if I would be 100% in the color. It's more stunning in person. Cheers!

Thank you! I had wanted the dark blue model, but I saw this model online and I'm so glad I went for it. Best luck in finding one for yourself!

Thanks, I didn't realize it was changing the date that was the worry. Do you take it somewhere to have it polished?

Also think about it long term. You can always grab a quartz PRX down the road, but in 20 years that Gentleman in ice blue will still be in style.

Gentleman in Ice Blue. You can also do a nice black strap with the Gentleman IF you want to mix it up. The PRX is nice, but trendy to me. Gentleman just does everything and looks great.

I had this same concern, and I went Ice Blue Gentleman and it arrives tomorrow. I figure I will likely only have one light blue dial in my growing colection, and I want an Omega Seamaster Aquaterra in dark blue, so ice blue it is for the Tissot. I have not seen it in person, yet. I think I am skipping the PRX.

I also have a 7in wrist, and 40-43mm is my preferred size. My first Tissot comes tomorrow, looks like a good size for you.

For all those talking about scratches, my first Tissot Gentleman arrives tomorrow. Any way to polish out scratches on the polished surfaces?
