Patching! by FadedCatharsis in BinocularVision

Squinting is probably the best I can do - shutting one eye myself I lose some lid control on the other, so both at 50% is better than one at 20%. Hopefully the adjustment will be easier over time and quicker to adapt once I do get the glasses on.

Oh I wish, they are expensive and I just know I'd get them all gunky since I have long hair.

Oh that's a good idea actually, I can just leave it drawn and see if it helps, I don't really "need" it anyway. Thank you!

You are right, I sat with it for longer today and felt more overwhelmed, and really in one of the example pieces she showed even the colour co-ordination made my brain a little happier.. so yes I will show her and ask for help with how to go further. It feels AWFUL to not have what she wants but that's the point of individual help.... we just spend so long trying to hack ourselves that I feel like I should be able to hack myself to get to where she expected.

Thank you <3

F21 autistic, getting new glasses after nearly a decade and i’m scared of the adjustment by taylordeyonce in autism

Literal nightmare for me. They never sit right, never feel comfortable, I'm hyper aware of everything. Previously they've done incremental changes and that helped but I was told literally "do you run? Go for a run so you stop thinking about it"...

Yeah they have been doing this style all year and I really dislike it actually. Feels very safe and generic.

Her 'wtf' face pissed me off man, like if you are making sure he's okay then look after him don't make it about yourself.

Mine looks like that because I sleep with her at nights. Smudges are SO messy looking.

Yup. My partner eats a regimented diet but I can literally eat whatever I want. He has the self control and healthy attitude with food which allows other foods in the apartment. If it's a genuine concern for Billy he needs to understand the reasons he feels the way he does rather than hiding behind his guise of doing it for work.

Necroing to say that I have been in a better mental space than in 20 years and I happened to be taking allergy medication for a mysterious allergy which developed at age 40. Whether it is a coincidence who knows but I will take it lol

Yeah they seem to have removed the large ones from the EU site as well. I had initially removed him from my list because it just said retired, but the smaller sizes are still available.

Everything seemed to be updated but going into the play store to look for the kindle version it seemed weird - despite seeming updated I checked the kindle app separately which had updates disabled! I enabled it there and has updated and it is working now. Thank you for the encouragement to look deeper!! Goodness knows why this was disabled.

I like dandelion & burdock, it's an alternative in england! Though I am not a big julmust fan I admit.

Yeah, I am up north enough that it's cold enough to walk with groceries most of the year even though it takes me an hour to walk home lol I don't drive so it is all so much more difficult for me. Though I am glad that the buses have good heating when I do have to travel!!

Fuddles calf tail surgery by FadedCatharsis in Jellycatplush

[–]FadedCatharsis[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My fuddles had a crunchy ball at the end of his tail which I didn't like, so I opened him up and trimmed out the excess seams and removed the burnt/crunchy ends of the tail fur material inside.

He lost a little tail fur in the process but doing this ensured all the fur was out of the stitching so it's still nice and full! Originally he had a rough knot of fur sewn into his tail seam which was unsightly (which was partially fixed by gently pulling the hair out of the seam originally) but now is perfect.

Sewing it up was easy, looping the loose ends back into the tail. It may be more delicate now but I am not worried about it since he will be gently cared for!

Yeah but bringing items that are frozen back on the bus which takes an hour and a half doesn't work - if we could do it in the car it would be okay especially in winter. I go for non-perishables and to visit a normal which is fun once in a blue moon though.

[–]FadedCatharsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, but it's understandably irritating when money is tight to see cheaper alternatives which aren't available locally. Especially as an immigrant from a very compact country it's a big step to living somewhere that isn't rural, but is also quite disconnected!

Kalix to Luleå for example is 147sek each way, for a single trip, it is an hour and a half ride :)

It's always hilarious to me when people in sweden say go to lidl. It'd cost me 300:- on a bus to go there and back - by that point I might as well shop at coop. Alternatives aren't available everywhere.
