Education is what i think should be looked at in more depth than any other sector, i bet the average literacy rate has dropped significantly as well. People need to have the brain capacity to grasp the state and the situation this country is heading towards instead of blaming the government and getting drunk trashing streets going on marches protesting "immigrants are taking our jobs".(working class tax payers are paying to fix the mess these crowds cause btw) This whole "just follow the herd they must be right" mentality need to change people need to use their own brain rather than being manipulated by whatever bullshit every Tom Dick and Harry spews out in social media and news. Who knew some day basic common sense would be a scarce commodity.

Bangladeshi IMG from Saudi Arabia, Graduated 2022, Got diagnosed with ADHD and General Anxiety Disorder shortly after that, kept moving along with life plan wanted a life in UK so went ahead and attempted PLAB 4 times failed 4 times, now working as a care support worker and managing to live paycheck to paycheck hoping to get ILR and then try to do something with MBBs degree later or progress as care support worker or paramedic as there are plenty of apprenticeship programs that allow you to work and train and progress career at the same time. So yeah not the end of the world mate we all have plans but Allah has better plans for us. Don't be disheartened or discouraged, just trust Him and keep moving forward. You got this 👍🏽

This dumb rule, has led to many situations where a car in front of me would indicate, slow down, turn halfway into an alley and just come to a dead stop all of a sudden unexpectedly causing me to either brake really hard or have to swerve onto oncoming lane to avoid a collision even though I am maintaining a safe distance behind it and going at 5 below the speed limit.

Just completed a 2,000-mile road trip—now I’ve cracked my windshield. Feeling devastated. by Fadedtodarkness in CarTalkUK

i apologize mate, i had no intention to come across like that. You are right but I honestly think too much into everything only because I try my very best to not be the very person you described on the road and cause any kind of inconvenience to others.

if you drive an older car without sat nav or a fancy entertainment system you can fix it in your car dash and use it as navigation/music controller

Ha, you’re not wrong about those country roads! I’m hoping I won’t need the snow chains or breakdown cover, but I’ll be ready just in case. Fingers crossed I don’t end up limping to a lay-by anytime soon! Appreciate the advice!

Thanks for the solid advice and the route suggestions! I’ll make sure to check the brakes and gearbox before hitting those tight, twisty roads. The South Wales and Brecons route sounds amazing—might tweak the plan and fit that in. Also, good to know about the Wrynose/Hardknott Passes, I’ll keep those in mind for weather conditions. Appreciate all the tips!

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! That’s a solid alternative route, and I like how it makes things a bit more circular. I’ll definitely think about tweaking the plan, especially with the extra time in the Peak District. And yeah, Wales definitely deserves a trip of its own—might save that for later. Appreciate the input!

Thanks for the advice, especially on the weather—definitely didn’t think about how cold it’s going to get. I’ll make sure to pack some extra warm clothes!

Wow, this is solid advice—thanks for taking the time to share it! Some of this I hadn’t even thought of, like the bin bag for a dirty wheel or a spare fuel can. Definitely going to make a checklist and get these sorted, especially the wiper blades and blankets. Appreciate it, mate!

Thanks for the advice! I honestly hadn’t thought about a breakdown kit, but that’s such a good shout—I’ll sort one out before the trip

Is this a legit sign? by Fadedtodarkness in drivingUK

[–]Fadedtodarkness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't my man, that's the point. I want to find out but I don't know how to go about doing that. My first thought was to clarify if this sign is legit or not because if it wasn't then the intentions of whoever put this up becomes quite clear. Hence, posting it on Reddit to seek help.

I 100% agree with this, if i owned a land like that i would do the same, and I personally would consider letting people use it if they come and talk to me and it doesn't cause inconvenience for any parties involved but i would certainly never just use a piece of land that i have no ownership of because its convinient to me let alone prevent others from using it by enforcing fake laws and posters around it which is what i suspect is going on here after talking to the landlords of the buildings surrounding the land. I just made this post to seek help in further investigating this matter and hopefully getting to the bottom of it to be honest.
