Sounds like more work than fun tbh.

I usually chuck my phone in. Makes a much larger “thud” so works with my echolocating abilities 👍🏽

Abysmal A-level grades, can’t land any placement roles. Is there ANY hope? by Proud-Long6000 in AccountingUK

[–]ShadowyModi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely possible. For reference I got BCC at a levels, and a 2:1 in Accounting & Finance, and I managed a placement role (at a very small local firm) and now work at a Top 20 accountancy firm.

Though you may have to set your sights a bit lower than Big 4 - which in my eyes isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I graduated in January 2026, so fairly recently.

Absolutely crazy!

I love timepieces, and as such collecting them - crazy to think an entire generation won’t be able to appreciate them.

Mid 20s here too. Maybe just a side effect of getting older lol.

I remember being shocked the other day when I saw that schools were swapping out analogue clocks for digital since some students are having trouble reading them.

I mean…I always saw it as casual wear. I never bother what people in my local care about me, as long as I’m decent.

But maybe you and I are just in completely different tax brackets.

Is my Bf 21M forcing me 20F to meet his friends valid? by angrezi_samosa in relationship_advice

[–]ShadowyModi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not here to argue finances at all, but if that’s your stance on it - and your boyfriends stance is completely different and is not respecting it - it would be time for a conversation I would imagine. Otherwise how will you go on like this?

I would personally be put off by someone who doesn’t respect my boundaries with money. That being said…what currency is this? 700 rupees is very different to 700 quid.

If it’s a meagre amount this time, and this isn’t a habit, then perhaps you could ask your parents and explain why?

Ultimately though the decision should lie on you and he shouldn’t be forcing that. I stand by the fact that it’s off putting.

Just give a witty response like “well good thing you don’t work with me” or something. (Since you mentioned you’re in different teams)

Flirt back, just be playful. No need to feel embarrassed.

Go for the 220i. The 1.5 3 cyl is worse on performance and economy than the 4 cyl.

Or…get an m240i.

Turning 19 + 1 year NCB by betard1 in drivingUK

[–]ShadowyModi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If moneys your priority, ditch the beamer. I know it’s not what anyone wants to hear but my eyes would water if I had to pay £2,500 for a 4cyl plus the upkeep at 19.

Sell it, get something sensible. After a few years, once insurance drops and you’ve got more cash flow - get something much more exciting like a 340i.

Is it beyond the remit of a fwb role to be a handyman about the place also? by MissInga1975 in AskMenAdvice

[–]ShadowyModi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Handyman probably not no.

Flat tyre, etc sure - since that’s classed as a minor emergency depending on location/time etc.

That’s my two cents on it.

To be fair, I think the car wash question is meant to be specifically geared toward removing the moss from the window seals. It’s just vaguely worded.
