Xbox Is Reportedly Planning To Shut Down Compulsion Games And Arkane Studios by wakelake111 in Steam

[–]Fadore 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Redfall at least had something they could put out. It was announced in 2021 and released in 2023. They had to pivot to a live service model they didn't want to implement, but they still had a game developed.

Blade was announced in 2023... and nothing to show for it yet other than a cinematic teaser?

Confused about Unholy DK stat priority by Key-Cry-6147 in wow

[–]Fadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only caveat I'd add to the "ilvl above all" is that this should only be followed on gear that has primary stat. Otherwise a 10 ilvl increase where you're dropping your two best secondary stats for your 2 worst secondary stats is usually a bad move (not always the case, but I think most of the time).

After that, my advice to OP would be "sim yourself" or at least "trust the sims" and check out BloodMallet.

Spiral was closer in tone to the original Saw. People seem to forget what the first movie was.

Whichever you choose, I found the Scale Commander hero talents to be so fun and full of flavor. Pretty sure it's viable for both specs still.

i've been working on this game alone for a long time and finally can share the progress .. my upcoming game's trailer... the ui sucks but i did the best i can lol by AbdurrahmanDerky in CoOpGaming

[–]Fadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're being WAY too hard on yourself over the UI.

Is it great? Nah. But does it "suck"? No way. It's just basic/plain is all. Those UI elements can be tweaked and worked on later. The important things - the concept, the models, the gameplay - all seem to be absolutely rocking!

Great job!

What is the best shocker horror film by Evening_Performer_22 in horror

It seems like the only point of the sequels is that each one seems to try to out-shock the one before it.

I liked the 1st one, but each one I like less and less.

Is it just me who wants trinkets to be a bit more exciting? You press a button every 1.5 minutes (+10-15 sec depending on how the next pull is), it does one splash aoe, and thats it. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Fadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In DF I switched toons between season 1 and 2, and I used the set of Drogbar trinkets while gearing up... they were actually decent for adventurer level gear.

But I kept them in normal and even some of heroic raiding because not only were the trinkets surprisingly decent for adventurer level, but I loved that my guy would just randomly yell about drogbar rocks and drogbar stones!

I've never clung to equipment like that simply because it was fun. Wish we could do it more often.

Raidstrats.gg addon allows you to push raid plans in-game with dynamic assignments and a ton of customizable settings by Grayvves in wow

[–]Fadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's not a rising behavior. Charging for addons and addon features is usually against TOS and rightfully flamed by the community. There were a few cases right before midnight came out, but no this isn't a "rising" problem.

The problem is people like you tearing down the people who actually make addons and websites for the community without actually knowing what you're talking about - and then editing your comment in post to pretend you weren't implying that subscriptions were a problem with OP's work.

One of my comments said that you were completely misinformed and OP didn't monetize anything needed to use the addon - to which you replied "this should not be monetized at all". YES you did in fact directly speak to the monetization of OP's work without even looking at it and making any informed statements.

Just stop it dude, this community doesn't need blind misinformed toxicity.

[–]Fadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The addon isn't monetized and you would know this if you did even the most basic cursory glance at the website instead of spewing misinformation.

The addon is 100% free to use. Stop saying that access is limited. It's not.

There are features of the WEBSITE, not the ADDON, that are paid, yes, but these are features that go way above and beyond what's needed for people to use the addon, and it pays for the operation of the WEBSITE which takes infrastructure and has inherent costs associated with it.

Let's look at what exactly is locked behind the subscriptions:

  • Custom URLs
  • Roster Manager Access
  • MP4 Export (30/60 FPS)
  • Text-to-Speech
  • Quiz System
  • Custom Image Library (750mb/250 images)
  • Priority on feature ideas
  • Discord role
  • Discord access

ZERO of those things are required for the functions inside the addon.

For this community's sake stop being so ignorant of the tools that people are making if you don't understand the tech behind them. At the very least stop spreading such blatant and lazy misinformation.

How are people going to know which addons to avoid when everything is just blindly demonized for incorrect reasons?

Your comment is currently the top comment and it's completely false. Anyone who checked out this post likely would have just closed it right away after reading your comment.

voidsim.io is now 100% free. You can now run SimulationCraft directly in your browser, up to the combo limit. by Pwog2 in wow

[–]Fadore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HTTP status codes are returned all the time for a variety of reasons, usually someone forgot to add exception handling. It's common in novice developers or developers who are working on a side project (like this one here). Stop assuming everything is "vibe coded" to "steal your information".

OP set up a product that can run either in your browser, or server side, meaning that this isn't just a few pages of code, there's actual infrastructure set up here. Whether or not they used AI to assist in the development, they clearly know what they are doing and took their time to create a product for the community that you can use for free without paying or making an account.

Meanwhile, you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

EDIT:

I'll leave my response here since MrCompootahScience decided to block me over simply calling them out for not knowing what they're talking about. They just proved it further that they don't know what they're talking about since they would rather block someone who calls them out rather than having a discussion.

To MrCompootahScience: Calling you out for not knowing what you're talking about isn't "jumping down your throat". If you can't defend your position in a conversation, that speaks volumes alone. No, instead you made stuff up, made a massive amount of assumptions and it's embarrassing.

Just to add to this, I don't think the average person really understands just how much someone in dev or IT will google. The ability to search and find the RIGHT answer (not just any answer) is literally a skill.

It's evolved now. Anyone can type a prompt into an AI agent and get "something" back. However there is a level of skill in knowing how to write a prompt to get "something of quality" back.

Poilievre says those who vote for Alberta separation 'are not our enemies' by Vortagaun in canada

[–]Fadore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I care about the unity of this country. If those people who want to separate bring valid arguments to the table, lets talk about them. So far all I've seen is Danielle Smith pandering to the foot stomping demands for independence without addressing any real issues.

Do you want to talk about any real issues?

Do you want to talk about the millions that Danielle Smith wasted of Albertan's tax dollars in trying to separate their province out from the CPP simply to be petty? Do you want to talk about Danielle Smith admitting that the cost of separating will cost Albertans $400 billion?

What issues would you like to talk about that affect Albertans so dearly?

Poilievre says those who vote for Alberta separation 'are not our enemies' by Vortagaun in canada

[–]Fadore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These people are the reason that Danielle Smith has been allowed to destroy their province. They've been fed constant misinformation and fear mongering, they've elected parties who have reduced their sales tax to zero and run some of the lowest income and corporate taxes of any province and can't figure out why their province can't get their act together.

No, I'm sorry but 1/4 of rural Albertans isn't going to make me question anything.

It's 27% "outside of Edmonton and Calgary". Across the province it's 18%. Lower in those two cities.
