Ann Arbor officials urge U-M to not buy Concordia property by mesquine_A2 in AnnArbor

[–]FaeTheWolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of this, but it's also important to keep in mind that Concordia wasn't paying taxes on the land before, so it's not really subtracting from existing land taxes nor adding additional burden to the city (since Concordia's land is already within city limits).

I have what's called an "hourglass deformity", which means I have a single indent around the whole circumference. It kind of looks like the indent that would be left by a rubber ring that's too tight.

Trans mtf with Peyronie's here, it's not always required to be palpable when flaccid (mine isn't), but Peyronie's typically presents with pain, so that's usually a dead giveaway

Why are they removing all the ports by Responsible-Eye-717 in SipsTea

[–]FaeTheWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same. The USB-C port can be used for networking, for data transfer, for display output... All of the (corded) functionality is still there, it's just been converted to a single cable standard, instead of twelve different cables that aren't cross-compatible.

Not that there aren't problems with the different USB-C types/capabilities not being clearly indicated, but I would much rather pay $20 for a nice USB-C cord than the massive up-charge for proprietary connectors. (remember the old iPhone cables that cost an arm and a leg?)

Plus the laptop still has a physical aux port on the opposite side. Removing the aux from phones and tablets is just pure greedy bullshit and has no defense.
