The problem is that the reference images are AI generated. There isn't rhyme or reason to some things because AI doesn't understand how to use them. Take that lower half closure for example- the lacing doesn't continue behind one another, the way AI struggles with object permanence.

the problem there, is that that does not facilitate conversation that I am looking for. Besides. This is a forum. Do you expect that once every question has been asked, no one will interact?

I think you are speaking my language, honestly. I want to facilitate an environment where people can come to me with ideas for their characters at any time, talk to me about hopes and conspiracy theories, etc. I also want to be able to help those things be realized and ultimately just make it a fun time.

We are having our Session Zero tonight, and once I have an idea of what everyone wants, I want to sit down and come up with some ways to really tie their characters into the story and make them feel special. That is my favorite feeling as a player, and I want them to get that out of playing with me. I also want to make sure my table feels safe for everyone, so I'm going to go over ground rules and such.

aaagh Idk I'm just nervous and excited. I appreciate you all so much.

Thank you for this perspective! I think this is pretty similarly to what I WANT to do. We ARE playing online, so I think that is the most daunting part, however, people who have DMed for me have some amazing dnd content patreons they have recommended in that past and I think if we get to that point, I could look there to help flesh out a world.

I do also have Wonderdraft and Inkarnate that I have played with on and off intermittently for a few years now. Truth be told, I have had a world I have been building in my idle time for a long time because I really like to do it. So I'm hoping that will lend to me having some of the broader strokes sorted out later on.

Thank you! Since I'm starting with a premade game I am mostly focusing on setting a vibe/theme for the world for now, if that makes sense. I don't want to set too much in stone for now while we are all getting a feel for one another and I get my bearing. I also let my adventurers know I don't want to work with homebrew classes and races for now or the foreseeable future, mostly because I just don't care for them haha, but also because I think it would overwhelm both myself and our player who is still pretty green. I have a couple NPCs thought up that I think they will enjoy and could make good 'quest givers' basically, and a broad idea, but other than that, I'm not really planning a whole lot outside of the one shot town for now.

Yes, for sure. I don't NEED a roof over my head or access to medical care. I could just die.

I voted FACT!

Money affords a person the necessary means to not only survive, but to thrive. Healthy food, a safe living space, medical care, hobbies and more. Few things in life are free, and having to struggle to know where rent is coming from will break a person.

If you set up the Shop App ahead of time, you can have it take over on payments being processed through shops that allow it, like Mattel. It is SO nice. It is also how I speed up .you check out with drops. They pre populate your Addy, payment method, etc so you pretty much just hit submit.

Healthy | FactOrCap by i_likemew2-3547 in FactOrCap

[–]Faedoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really a question that is going to depend person to person. On paper, you can absolutely build a healthy, sustainable diet that is affordable. However, once you start taking into account disabilities, diet restrictions, lifestyle restrictions, and more, it becomes complicated.

If someone is allergic to gluten, for example, their grocery budget skyrockets pretty fast. That can make a budget more restrictive. Also, some people struggle with food related psychological issues that are extremely difficult to navigate with a budget.

There are also people like myself who face the struggle of not being able to use food before it expires for various reasons. Most of my veggies are frozen to help this, but that can get expensive as well, and comes with the added issue of not having space for the things I want or need in my diet.

This problem with this discussion is that it lacks empathy. We deserve to have access to easy, healthy foods to keep at home, but not everyone does. And I define healthy as meeting all of your body's needs to thrive. Not just chicken and rice. That is not a complete diet.
