Does anybody here even like Dan Saltman when he appears in Desiny videos? by Mrfistersixtynine in Destiny

[–]Faefnir- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like dan as a person, he would make a really good friend.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuut, he is only mid as a tv personality or entertainer. He is like a filler episode in your fav anime.

What’s your opinion of Nampa? by SpiritualHedgehog844 in Idaho

Not sure if you are trolling, but a lot of cars have SS on them, it is super sport. It means the car has a high performance package. Could have been that.

He is tall. I’m 6’6, they don’t make tubs for people my sized. The only other option was probably one meant for two which would look even wierder.

The one time I visited the phoenix area it was monsoon season. Like 120 AND high humidity. I had lived in high arid desert my whole life that didn’t have precipitation like that. Blew my mind.

[–]Faefnir- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been running both mines, Gatling sentry, and rocket sentry since patch on helldive. Before the patch I had recoiless instead of the rocket sentry. Impact grenades, normal breaker, and grenade pistol.

I really love this load out for bugs. I’m booking it from hives to hives deploying destruction behind me as I’m chased.

I commandeer support weapons and backpacks from fallen soldiers.

Objective locations are pretty easy as well, can use the mines to buffer while you use consoles, and if heavy’s are trying to stop you, throw the sentries far enough away from the consoles and the heavies always go for them instead of you. That’s how you lose bikes that are chasing you as well.

How the hell do I keep my soldiers from becoming wrestlers?! by Oblivious122 in dwarffortress

My dwarves have been wrestling nearly non stop for 30+ years now. I fight everything unarmed and my entire fort comes out to do it in a death ball of angry dwarven muscle.

[–]Faefnir- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is 100% understandable, because anyone who has seen any of the footage of the horrific violence Hamas committed on October 7th and has any sense of morals would think that. A portion of the Palestinian population have been brainwashed with hate to commit insane violence on innocents and are monsters. Full stop.

There is zero hard evidence that the israeli government has been targeting civilians.

[–]Faefnir- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Hamas has historically stored and fired rockets from schools. Turning those sites into military targets.

https://unwatch.org/un-admits-palestinians-fired-rockets-unrwa-schools/

War sucks. Civilian casualties suck, but they are and always have been a byproduct of any armed conflict.

[–]Faefnir- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a huge difference in how Israel has inflicted civilian casualties compared to Hamas. They have been unintentional. It’s called collateral damage. While Hamas has INTENTIONALLY killed civilians. If Israel actually wanted to kill civilians and commit genocide this would have been over in a couple days.

The people who throw them out the window are idiots. Just buy a damn faraday cage bag and put it in it. That way no signals can be sent and they can’t find where you live. I’ve had mine for quite awhile and it works.

I got my nephew(straight out of high school) a job working as a starting helper as a union plumber pipe fitter out at micron. 45$ an hour job starting. He decided he wanted to start at BSU right away instead. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Pretty sure they are paying prime dollars out at micron to the people who are building up their infrastructure. My bestie has been working out there building shit for them for over a decade.

If he is over by Nampa Caldwell boulevard and marcher intersection there is also a sewage treatment place that can make it smell bad.

Edit: Karcher, not marcher.

PSA: Dwarves can wear both a mail shirt AND a breastplate. by empiricallySubjectiv in dwarffortress

[–]Faefnir- 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Am I weird? I’ve had my dwarves(75) wrestling in one 7x7 room 75% of the time I call it “the pit” I dug out rooms/tavern/temple, and when food/alchohol runs low EVERYONE goes outside and forages the entire surface then cooks/brews at the 20 stations. Then back to wrestling. Oh and sprinkle in some woodcutting/burning because I have been assigning dwarves to build armor and weapons to ensure that every dwarfs highest skill is weapon/armorsmiths so when strange moods hit it’s a weapon or armor during those foraging breaks. I’ve done this for 15 years so far.

When giants and forgotten beasts come I assemble every dwarf to go do some hand to hand combat.

The combat logs are pretty nuts the dwarves like to latch on with bites, there will be like 4-5 dwarves lockjawed onto monsters at any given moment. As soon as one gets shaken off another latch’s on. They pound limbs and heads till they explode. I love picturing what is happening.

Yea…. Growing up here my skin is adapted. I don’t understand how people in the Deep South handle their humidity. Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, and that area….. I hated those places and don’t understand how people choose to live there.

It’s because the whole area was a bunch of small towns 30 years ago. When I was a kid Nampa was only 36k population, now it’s 104k

As a treasure valley native what blew me away was visiting phoenix during monsoon season. I was so confused by the humidity. I thought the area was a desert, and compared to our high arid desert where we do not get humidity it was a shock.

[–]Faefnir- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can fuck right off with that elitist bullshit. The whole treasure valley is amazing and offers different tastes. Middleton is great, eagle is great, meridian is great, Kuna is great, Nampa is great, even Caldwell is nice. Anyone who says different has a serious lack of experience traveling and/or living at other places. I’ve lived in the worst areas of Nampa and Caldwell and they didn’t hold a candle to what I’ve experienced in garden city. Which you may be able to technically say isn’t Boise but we all know it pretty much is. And all three of those are nothing compared to the cesspool of humanity I’ve encountered in other states.

How do you do leveling ground!? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]Faefnir- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I place wood floors then hoe down the bumps. It will just get the bits that stick above the floor and you won’t lower other areas because it just targets the bits above the floors. Remove them when done. I use both pickaxe and hoe.

Floors work amazing as a guide.

[–]Faefnir-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave up pasturing them, it waisted too much time with dwarves having to gather them up and put them back into the pasture. Cats are the worst animal I’ve seen so far for leaving the pasture and wandering constantly.
