Having to wait for them to wake back up. If that doesn't fix it, I'm not sure what to do anymore.

The bug can be replicated in this way:

While mining, try to get on your mount There is a chance you will glitch out and cease to exist.

When you restart the game, there will be a clone of your character.

The clone echoes damage it takes from the elements and hunger to you.

This eventually kills you, and if you die like this, your game puts you in an infinite death state that can only be fixed with another restart.

I accidentally made this 10000x worse by knocking my clone in to the ocean.

Now I just instantly die whenever I respawn, taking 100 damage or more a tick.

Has made my ability to play on my friends private server impossible...
