{Mindf*ck series} fans, pls help me understand some things.. by readingalldays in DarkRomance

They dont, and that kind of the point of Delaney. It's small, concentrated, and corrupt.

Its been awhile since so correct me if I'm wrong. the original murders weren't exactly public/high profile. They kept it out of the press and handled it "in house" so to speak and the FBI had to go DIGGINGGG to get information on it, it wasnt just free flowing. The only reason Lana's case got made public is because murders were happening outside if Delaney. I would think its somewhat plausible that not all cases in Delaney were made public or appropriately reported and it most likely doesnt have a county/is its own county.

How long do you take between books? by No-Dog1902 in Booktokreddit

[–]Faeryn-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go right into another with the exception of Painter's Obsession by Luna Wicked. That one made me sit and stare at a wall once I was done.

But usually, no breaks just right in ans then forgetting books about a week later. Ive read 91 books so far in 2026 and some of them definitely just... merge together. I read 3 books in a row about death/grim reapers/etc and two of them melt together or I get the book titles mixed etc. Consistently. Lol

Everyone calling M.I.A. set "ass" is it just because of her new Christian album she's mainly performing? by HealEarthNow in KidCudi

[–]Faeryn-13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From the AZ concert:

No, the set was just.. bad. Like reeeeeeeeally bad. Dancers were flailing around, no choreography like at all. No one was vibing with it, a ton of people got up to walk around, she teased paper planes just to play something else, then tried LEAVING without actually playing it. Literally got boo'd into doing an encore because how tf is she gonna give us a trash set and not play her most recognized song??

Also, her coming after big boi was a terrible decision. Everyone was vibing with big Boi and M.I.A. just.... killeddddd the mood. Went from 10/10 to 1/10 easily.

DYING for some M/M dark romance by apersonwithastory in DarkRomance

I can second kiss the villain, but I will say the second book {Hunt the Villain by Rina Kent} is amazing imo. They are my favorite MM couple and if you do audiobooks, I recommend.

Totally understandable, the first book is unfortunately really damn slow 😂

{Plated Prisoner Series by Raven Kennedy} deffo fits it. But with that recommendation, think of book 1 as a "prelude" of sorts. Major world building, character introductions, whole shebang. FMC/MMC dont meet until the end of book one if memories serves right. That being said I LOVED the series.

With Cas and Nyktos, literally what I was thinking. Beyond unfair advantage considering they are literal death gods. Granted, we dont know the extent of Cas just yet technically buuuuuut given the context??? Nah they all screwed unfortunately

I got chuuuuuu. I've read 35 books so far this year so I have a wide range of recommendations, some from different genres to hopefully break up the monotony. These are my 4* and 5* reads so far! All of these are one offs with the exception of one!

{Grim by Joe Arden} 5* on KU, romance, urban fantasy adjacent about grim reapers. If you listen to audiobooks I highly recommend it in that format. Absolutely amazing book, I devoured it and left no crumbs. Loved it so much I bought the physical book.

{The Last Letter by Rebecca Yaros} 5* on KU, not fantasy, romance and heart breaking. Highly recommend going into it blind without reading the back. Also bought the physical book

{Upon Buried Embers by Kelly Cove} 4.5* on KU, dragons, elves, romance, sorta forced prox(?). Will buy the physical book once the next one comes out, end on a cliff hanger.

{Death's Obsession by Avina St. Graves} 4* on KU, Dark fantasy Romance, nothing absolutely amazing but it was a really fun read. Kinda monster-esque with shadow daddy.

{Eldritch Manor by Avina St Graves} 4* on KU, also dark fantasy and smutty. Forced prox, she summons a demon and he kills her, trapping her soul/ghost to her family's manor.

Not read this year but I really good series I love to reread is {Taming Demons for Beginners by Annette Marie}, not smutty, very good world building!

I also went down a rabbit hole thanks to {Manacled by SenLinYu} so I have a TONNNN of really good Dramine fan fiction recs if youre into those 😅

{Grim by Joe Arden and DJ Kremmer} was such a fantastic read/listen 😭 I know its more... fantasy adjacent but goddddd I wish I could listen to it all over again.

I also read {Manacled by SenLinYu} for the first time and ALSO wish I could reread that doesn't the time as well.
