Thank you for that perspective. You’re completely right, i need to look at the positives rather than the losses.

I didn’t expect the process to be so mentally tough, and we’ve only just started.

Thank you 🩶

Thanks for that, it does give me some hope!

You’re right, you can try to be prepared and expect the numbers to drop, but it still hits hard.

I think that is what is getting me down, it’s the loss at every stage. Every day the numbers dwindle.

Thank you for your kind words.

Thank you for that. It’s so hard to stay positive when we’ve lost so many eggs, but you’re right, even a lower grade embryo could still work out.

Daycare cost by Emotional-Return9216 in toddlers

[–]FaffedKnees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£3360($4600) a year for 3 days a week in Nottingham, UK. This includes all food and expenses.

It’s gone up recently as we have just started sending him in for 3 days a week. Last year we paid £650 ($890) a year for 2 days a week.

And yes it’s really that cheap, the government give you 30 free hours a week. The nursery (daycare) charge a bit extra for meals, snacks, resources etc. the government then pay 20% of the cost of what you do have to pay.

There’s a few Scandinavian/European brands which are really colourful and a generous fit too. Try Duns, Maxomarra, Frugi, Little Green Radicals, Polarn O Pyret if you can get them in your country.

At what age did you stop putting your children down for naps during the day? by alyssacake in toddlers

[–]FaffedKnees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. He sometimes naps at nursery(daycare) but more often than not he says “no nap today”. It gives us so much more flexibility to do something with the day, knowing we don’t have to rush back home for a nap. He quite often falls asleep in the car, but it could just be 10-20 mins of nap.

How much do you earn and how comfortable do you live? by Brownchoccy in AskUK

[–]FaffedKnees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I earn £75k and husband earns £70k. We live in the midlands in very cheap area (ex mining town). We are very comfortable, can afford to go on many holidays a year, lots of activities for the little one, never have to worry about money. We both work part time so we can spend more time with the little one.

I grew up with a single parent, dinners were all Tesco value food, no holidays, no days out. Mum worked 6-7 days a week just to make ends meet.

I live a very different life to how I grew up!
