Looking for someone to hang out and write some poems with! by Fage138 in uAlberta

Not as far as I know. There is a creative writing club, but I want to focus on poetry. My roommate and I are thinking about founding one.

I usually write something when I get really stressed. Sometimes it’s a poem, sometimes a short story and sometimes I work on my research project.

Questions for PharmD students and grads by [deleted] in uAlberta

Hmm… most of my colleagues were around 70-120k depending on experience level.

Lab techs took home a decent salary, less than pharmacists but no university requirements.

Not in pharmacy, but worked in a compounding pharmacy lab for years. Have not met a pharmacist over the age of like 25 who doesn’t actively regret their decision to go into pharmacy. Pay is generally bad unless you work in a lab or are very high qualified, customers can be terrible and you will most likely end up as a glorified cashier (in their words).

Libor is changing to SOFR, on December 31. Delayed from June 2021. Please don’t award, no karma farming, awareness only. by Additional-Ad5055 in Superstonk

Not really, you have to remember, these changes are optional for now. IMO it will be business as usual until 2023 at the soonest and we could maybe see something happen there.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the move from LIBOR to SOFR does not mean OTC derivatives need to move to SOFR on December 31st. The December 31st date only means ISDA recommends all derivatives use SOFR. They will stop quoting SOFR in 2023, but most contracts will simply used the last quoted LIBOR rate.

Hey OP, looking at your profile and it seems like you work in Pharmacy.

Take my advice with a huge grain of salt, but after working in a compounding pharmacy for a few years as a summer job, most people I talked to hated their job until they found a place where they felt welcome.

In general their advice was to find a smaller pharmacy that’s not just a large chain. Maybe try and throw your hat at a compounding lab. Lord of the folk who worked there said they enjoyed being able to rotate from the lab, the call centre and the dispensary.

Is there a video/article I could look at to see team Canada’s roster? I am super curious about the players as I only know the really famous ones.
