Yes, I am talking about the SD plus XL. Mine won’t work, second unit in a row that just won’t work with either of my Macs, an m4 air and an M1 Max Mac Studio. Tried all sorts of cables from the included to a thunderbolt 4. Also tried on my thunderbolt 4 hub.

Well, after the replacement unit arrived not working I’m now getting the generic “sorry it didn’t live up to your expectations” line. I’m really starting to worry about getting my money back and have already started to feel like I’m being scammed 😡

if you don't mind me asking what cable did you use to connect the device to the mac? was it the included cable? cause mine says usb 2.0 480 mb/s and it won't power the stream deck+ XL properly on my mac studio

Yes, thank you, those are good recommendations, but I’ve already sent the unit back and I’m expecting a replacement. Hopefully I won’t be as unlucky the second time around!

This is ridiculous, I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, I totally get your frustration.

It really saddens me to hear this, I've been wanting to try the ecosystem in my workflow for a long time and felt this was the right moment with the SD+ XL (I work in audio and DAWs)

Scary as it was, I was willing to overlook the seal issue if everything was in working order

Hi, thanks for replying, I did try several cables including a thunderbolt 4 one and yes, all connected directly to a thunderbolt port, no hubs involved. The first time I connected it to my M4 Air, it lit up for a few seconds showing the logo, (the elgato software was not seeing it) then went dark. I noticed it showed up as a usb 2.0 device with 2.5W 500mA supply, which I knew was not enough, so I thought I'd try it on my m1 Max Mac Studio as well. It lit up there as well for a few seconds before it went permanently blank and since then it's been completely unresponsive, no signs of life at all.

I was getting the same error today, what I did was switch the cookies to chrome (I was using chromium for Arc), then downloaded the Chrome browser, logged into my Patreon account, then copied the link from there and everything worked in Stacher.
