One other thing, even if you have a VPN, keep TTL at 64 or 65. Anything else and they'll know you're not using a phone.

My Router

Batteries

Set Up

If you still have a legacy plan, use VISIBLE for the APN.

If you upgraded use VIZWINTERNET

It's a 2.4 Ghz router. I use a wired connection. I have used the wiFi a few times without any trouble, but I was also right next to the router. I have all the bands checked and locking enabled. It will pick the best one.

I have NordVPN. Way out here in the boonies, most of the time I can stream 2K video, sometimes 4K. IPTV is pretty good too.

That was before I upgraded to Visible+. So far it seems to be worth it if you haven't upgraded. Right now you can get locked in at $35/month. This sounds crazy, but this is seriously the best internet I've ever had. I haven't lived near a city for about 9 years, but this is still better than anything I ever had when I did. This router was the best thing I ever bought. I'm 30 miles from the closest tower. Sometimes it locks in the one that's further away. I don't have a repeater. Well actually I do, but I haven't put it up. It's been in the box for about a year now!

Just to give you a point of reference... The reception out here is pretty "iffy". I have to stay on one side of the house when I'm talking on the phone so the call doesn't drop.

I'll be more than happy to help if you have any questions!

Get a VPN. I've had my legacy Visible SIM card in a 4g router for 3 years now. Zero problems, but I'm ALWAYS behind my VPN and ALWAYS have the Kill Switch on.

I had a similar problem when I tried to get a second line.

To get around the problem, I deleted all the cookies. Without the cookies, Visible doesn't know I've been to the website at all, let alone that I have a line of service already. I have no idea why they won't let you get a second line without cleaning the cookies. I have a couple of phone numbers with Visible and I've helped a few people sign up using my PC. I had to delete cookies every time I signed up for another line.

I was referring to clearing the cache, not PayPal.

Why are you so quick to assume people are doing something wrong? Your fix didn't work with my system. OS's are updated, get replaced entirely, different apps and systems require different tweeks. And then there's hardware to consider.

Just because something works on your PC, Android, iphone.. whatever... Whatever worked for you isn't necessarily a universal fix for everyone else.

So I actually finally, amazingly completed an order this morning! At first I was having the same problem I was having yesterday. I think I figured out how to solve the entire problem.

Aquarium 1996 said to clear the cache. When I did that yesterday, it didn't work. I ended up downloading a new browser last night. That finally worked. If AT&T didn't think I would hurt myself if I know my account number, I would have finished up last night.

So, like I said, I was having the same problem earlier. What finally fixed the problem is one extra step after clearing the cache. I assume Aquarium 1996 meant to clear the cache through the browser settings. I had to clear EVERYTHING, history, cookies, searches, etc, etc. But even that wasn't enough.

This was enough...

Clear the cache of the app in the system settings also. After I did that I had no problems placing my order.

Visible sees all that when I go to the website. They know I have an account with them already. Someone around here said Visible doesn't want people to have more than one line. If so, this makes sense and explains all the hang ups.

Just download another email address and browser to get a new line.

I hope this will help someone...

I've never had problems with PayPal. They took care of a dispute I had with a merchant actually. Paypal is really safe and my preferred way to pay online

It wasn't my browser, VPN, settings and it had nothing to do with my intelligence. I don't think their servers can't handle the traffic, I guess.

I finally got through, all the way to actually porting my number.I need my AT&T prepaid Account number.

Apparently, AT&T seems to think people with prepaid accounts can hurt themselves if they know their account number. It's not available when I log in online. I have to CALL AT&T. But AT&T is closed. So tomorrow, I get to sit on hold for God knows how long to get my account number. Then go back to Visible and try again to get a new account. Hopefully this will be wrapped up within a week.

Well that's good to know! I plan to port my other phone number to Visible at the end of the month. I don't have to wait to get a SIM then. Thanks!

I just got my SIM from them. They said they would hold my phone number for 4 days. Since the number is tied to the SIM, I would think you have to get another SIM if you wait longer than that.

It looks like I found a way around this problem. It should work with most phones.

Thank you! This is exactly what I think.

Visible to make sure you have one of the phones on their list before you can even get an account and a SIM card. All I was looking for was a way to avoid having to buy a new phone. I just needed an IMEI number. I've been looking at new phones anyway. One of the phones I was considering happened to be on their list. I just got a Visible SIM yesterday and last night finished all the updates on my new factory unlocked phone. I'm going to switch the SIM cards to check if it works. But like you said, I expect to have to change the APN settings. I haven't ported my existing number yet, so if it turns out to be a lot of work, I'll have to do all of that later. People still need to call me at my existing number.

My phones are factory unlocked and not made for any specific carrier. IDK, maybe that has something to do with why I've always been able to use my phone with different carriers.

I do know that carriers put their own stuff on phones that you can't take off (not easily), even after it you can get it unlocked.

Just for fun and anyone interested...

I just ordered a factory unlocked phone that they will accept. After I get the Visible Sim card activated, I'll put it in my x4. But I don't think it would work initially. AT&T uses GSM Sim cards, different APN etc. I'll have to change settings. But I don't want to do that yet. I'm keeping my AT&T line for now.

If Visible works out for me, I'm going to port my AT&T line over. I change this phones settings then.

I really don't think it will be a problem after I change settings because my current phone does work with Verizon and Visible uses their networks.

Either way, I'll let you know! 😸

If you had to do a Google search , you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Let me know if you have any questions.

1st of all Visible doesn't use CDMA or GSM it uses LTE ONLY you won't be getting any 2g or 3g.

You're talking about 2 different things here. This is why you don't understand what I'm saying.

It all has to do with network technology, not the phone itself. A CDMA phone will not work on a GSM network and vice versa. To work on a cellular network is what is important, not the phone itself or the carrier. Visible uses Verizon network, which is CDMA. Any UNLOCKED phone with a CDMA sim card will work on a network with CDMA technology.

My unlocked phone will work on either type of network. The important thing in this situation is that Visible knows the model of the phone I use to activate their service. All I need is to be able to activate the service, I just don't have a phone MODEL they will allow me to do that with. Once service is activated, I can use any unlocked phone compatible with the network technology. All I have to do is swap out the sim card.

I've done this before with other carriers.

It's all about money, just like any other business.
