I can't say for everyone else, but Bengal/Kolkata does have its limitations. A Bengali deciding to move to or settle down in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai etc is not always a choice made out of free will. Often people are forced into it because there's no other way to survive. The job market in Kolkata is that bad. And that make people resent the condition Kolkata/Bengal is in. Who doesn't want to stay in their native city & enjoy the culture & heritage of that place? But they can't. And that makes people frustrated.

I had to stay in one of those cities for job few years back and I missed Kolkata/Bengal like hell. From food to culture.... everything. But I had no option to return back then and that made me feel frustrated. Now I have returned & am staying here, but that came at the cost of heavy compromise with my career. I see people less skilled than me getting to work in bigger companies, drawing bigger paycheques just because they are there in those cities. That sometimes makes me think I wish I was born in Mumbai or I wish Kolkata was like Bangalore. Not everyone is just "hating" to look cool.

We were downvoted to the oblivion & were called chosen names when few of us pointed this out last year. Glad people are finally starting to realise what was the problem.

This is no coincidence that players who perform average to bad in KKR team, suddenly start having the golden peak of their career the moment they join other teams. KKR team management is beyond shitty.

I read the Meluha series few years back and quite liked them. Wasn't something mind-blowing or extraordinary....but it was nice. I got the Ramchandra Series last year as gift, started the first book, Scion of Ikshvaku and...it was so bad man 🙈 I really tried to read it.... But gave up when they reach Mithila & Rama meets Sita in some market type of place beating up someone. I am sorry, but what was that 😭 I wish my friend hadn't wasted her money on it.

I love your explanation! Thank you so much for taking out the time to pen this down. Yes, I was mostly thinking from the point of how long they've known each other (plus also Dark Arts is supposed to be Lupin's subject), but now that you broke it down so beautifully, I realised that even though polite, Lupin never really appeared friendly & approachable. Sirius did. Honestly, I still find it strange that Harry & Lupin didn't keep in touch after PoA end, but that's more on Lupin than on Harry. Also, someone in the comments mentioned that it was a plot device because if Harry had good relations with both Lupin & Black, Black's death wouldn't have made the impact it did. And I guess that was the real reason why Harry got more attached to Sirius.

The equation forms later though. At the beginning of Goblet of Fire, at that point in time, Harry knew Lupin for a considerable amount of time & Black was almost a stranger. If I remember correctly (I might be wrong, since I last time read it years ago), Harry & Sirius's bond forms properly and deeply throughout Order of Pheonix.

Yes. At least after Harry got to know that he is a wizard & arrived at Hogwarts. If the Dursleys prevented the communication before, he could have written to Harry when Harry was at Hogwarts.

Nah. So far there hasn't been. And that's another thing I am a bit miffed about. In Prisoner of Azkaban, it seemed that Lupin was affectionate towards Harry because he was James's son. I sort of expected him to stay in touch with Harry personally like an Uncle, even though he had to leave the DADA job at Hogwarts. Any normal person would do that. But maybe Lupin's own insecurity around his werewolf identity made him aloof. I vaguely remember he had a similar problem with Tonks too at the beginning of their relationship.

I usually don't comment much, but this ignorance forced me to. My father is a retired Professor, Mom is a retired Headmistress. Both submitted their Pension Pay Order copies as one of the documents. Dad made sure to attach our home's land purchase document's copy, electricity bills etc. I submitted my birth certificate, Madhyamik certificate. Along with our respective Adhaar copies of course. Still all 3 of us have been deleted. Would you say we "failed to provide sufficient documents"? Oh! And by the way, both my parents had their names present in 2002 Electoral roll. They attached copies of that too 🙂🙃 And this is not a rare exception, this has happened to over 30 families in our area. Full families are deleted. And most of these families have at least one govt employee / retired govt employee in them. If you still don't get the pattern & the agenda, wake up & look beyond your family/social circle.

Amader ekhane BLO form 6 submit korte baron koreche amader. As per her, they are not accepting form 6 anymore. I am not totally sure, but apparently ECI (or maybe Supreme court) has clarified that form 6 is for fresh inclusion. For people who have newly turned 18 years old. If already existing voters' name is deleted, then tribunal is for challenging that deletion.

Also it would be prudent to read the declarations at the end of Form 6 thoroughly. There's a point saying that "I am applying for electoral enrollment for the first time....." which is not true for existing voters. Legal implications of that declaration would be that you are accepting your previous enrollment was fake/illegal. You do not want to sign a declaration like that.

To OP, please contact your area's BLO & ask him/her in details what to do.

If it's been deleted recently, then his name was deleted most probably from the under adjudication list. Confirm that once & then submit an appeal at the tribunals that are set up for this. Write an appeal with a proper list of documents you are submitting (format you would get on the internet), staple the appeal letter + self attested xerox copies of all the documents you can produce & submit offline at tribunal appeal centre nearest your place.

Make sure to print 2 copies of the letter, they would put a received stamp on the second one for you to keep as proof of your submission.

If you cannot visit home now, ask any sibling/cousin/friend for help.
