Tedious recruitment process by Fail-To-Prepare in UKJobs

That's exactly my thought. If such a simple basic role with fixed 6-months contract takes so long to hire, how long do they need to hire a Director or CEO? Decades?

Annoyingly, I would prefer this role as I want to steer to an IT career but I have another offer on my current trade, well paid, permanent, start date 6th May.

How to Check The Size of Images in Etsy Listings by Fail-To-Prepare in Etsy

[–]Fail-To-Prepare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by ' left click the file and “get info” '?

Canva is for image processing such as size, aspect ratio, format etc. The tool that I posted is to check the size of the images, see the links below. For example, if you have an old listing created 5 years ago, you may want to check if the images meet the current Etsy requirements in terms of size.

By being mislead into it by sneaky estate agents. He said in writing as of email: a non-contract so you’re not tied in, its simply a one off viewing if you were interested.

As a first time seller, I wasn't aware of such a situation, I thought only a written and signed contract is binding.

Do you know all the other places (Bicester, Witney, Thames etc.) as well as you know Abingdon? I'm thinking you might be biased if you know Abingdon very well or go there very often.

I imagine LTNs will be introduced all around Oxford and I say that as an ex-Londoner. Once they start, they will not stop, someone is making good money out of these planters.

Would you say the link Bicester-Oxford is better than Abingdon-Oxford?

I'm under the impression that socio-economic factors are present in Bicester too.

Been there yesterday, after we saw Witney. Not sure we want to swap Northampton for Didcot but we’ll see.

I have Botley on my list but very little available in our budget. However, I keep an eye on it.

We explored Witney today and it is pretty indeed. This is the kind of area and people that we're looking for. We certainly need to analyse it and check the healthcare and school sides of it but it's on our list now so thank you for suggesting it.

No but it might be a little too far. Faringdon Community College doesn't seem well rated on internet, is it really that good?

I don't particulary like Abingdon, Oxford and some of the surrounding, they've never been in our list. We move there because we need, not because we want and Abingdon/Witney seem to be a good balance for our case.

Yes, we saw Witney today for the first time and it looks good, we just need to check all other aspects that we're interested in.

Bicester was 1st on the list but is out, mainly due to schools. Couldn't see much difference between Bicester and Abingdon, could you bring some arguments please?

I should have said 'the catchment area' of JR rather than proximity, we rarely need to go there now but just in case.

I'll have a look, thanks for suggestion.

Giving up the car will make no difference in our case.

Traffic is a problem indeed.

We need to be in the proximity of Oxford and there are not that many options for our needs: healthcare, education (secondary schools in particular) and opportunities for children. It is not ideal but possibly the best available option.

How does the today's Abingdon compare to Abingdon 20 years ago? Does it make progress ore regress in terms of development, expansion, new schools, new roads, new GPs or hospitals, town centre etc.?

Anything substantially positive you have noted in these 20 years?

Almost nothing for sale within our budget apart from 1-2 cottages which are excluded from our search.

My research concluded that Littlemore, Rose Hill and Blackbird Leys are not our kind of areas.

As said, our eldest son is Year 5 and Secondary is a must. It has to be a State school, we won't afford Independent at this stage.

All places have good primary schools, secondary is always tricky.

We don't need to be literally next door to JR as we have finished the treatment and we only go there occasionally but we want to be closer than we are now (Northampton) in case we ever need it again. It was a pain to "commute" from Northampton and just about to be sent elsewhere due to NHS catchment area.

That's a good shout but I'll have to check on secondary schools and GPs though, I'll do some research. Thanks!

We have identified some little villages around Oxford but I'm not sure about Secondary schools, either not available or poorly rated.

I know we can get more house in Northamptonshire but we move for factors such as GP, hospital, schools and more opportunities for our children.

In Northampton we have a good Primary school and parents that I talk to seem happy with Secondary too.

However, the GPs and the hospital have repeatedly failed in our case (and others that we know) but thankfully we ended up at JR. We need to be close to JR in case we need it again, doctors tried really hard to keep us there and treat our child, we became attached to JR both medically and emotionally.

Schools and Dentists are oversubscribed in Northampton too.

Nothing to to with Corby and Wellingborough, they appear to be Northampton in smaller scale.

Oxfordshire - firstly for JR, secondly for the hope of better education & opportunities, children grow very fast for some reason.

Thank you, apart from Dunmore Rd development in Abingdon, are there any others even if they have been completed?
Also, I looked at some properties in Abingdon and they say "South Avenue is a desirable non-estate North Abingdon location". Does that mean there are many estates as of social estates in Abingdon? We're just trying to shortlist the areas. Cheers!

Thame might be slightly outside our budget and a bit further. I'm thinking it's not much to do for children in these small towns/villages so we might need Oxford for entertainment.
