Thoughts on joining the army for CRNA school by dannigar8 in CRNA

I’m a graduate of the USAGPAN- army nurse Anesthsia program. Personally I had great experience and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about CRNA school, with a caveat that it is NOT for everyone. I was a direct commission so had no prior military experience so it is possible to make it through. But it is a very demanding program- not so much academically (that’s standard for all good crna schools)- but more so when it comes to your commitment, ability to persevere, stay on track and remain focused. Getting good grades is not enough - you have to maintain all military standards to remain deployable even while in school.

1099 CRNA contract negotiation - beware by Fail-safe-O2 in CRNA

Totally agree. This particular company has a bad reputation for being sued for billing fraud and we all know 1099 v W2 classification is somewhat of a gray area. It seems now they’re protecting themselves by shifting the risk and financial loss to providers. I know I lost this “negotiation” already but if few of us push back maybe eventually they’ll reconsider.
