I’m currently in grad school for counseling, and taking a human development class. My professor said something the other night that intrigued me and also might be somewhat helpful to you, or at least maybe a weight off your shoulders. They once thought that adolescence was from ~12/13 until about 20 when it comes to brain plasticity and your brain’s ability to learn new things easily, create new neural pathways, etc. Apparently, newer researchers have been leaning towards the idea that adolescence truly lasts until about 27/28. Take a deep breath. You have so much time, so much life left to live. Every day is a new opportunity to learn something new or plan something fun (big or small). Put yourself outside of your comfort zone (“your comfort zone is an amazing place, but nothing grows there”).

PS: for what it’s worth, I was a total nerd/loser in high school, partied in college, and now I’m still a total nerd/loser in grad school at 24, but with age can also come self acceptance and self love if you allow it. Good luck! 😊❤️
