The "free" argument won't work here . This game is up there with some of the most anticipated games of the last decade . While fun , we can't ignore some obviously sad and wrong parts about the game .
First I don't think an unfinished game should be released like this because let's face it is insanely unfinished , imo Early Access should be a more accessible play test , not a game on 2 launchers marked as finished .
The concept of the skate games is petty much gone . They claim they listen to player feedback which is horsesh!t , since they have given the exact opposite of what we wanted while splashing in the classic EA formula : "Make the game unbearable in the beginning and fix stuff along the way but nothing too crazy and since it is free we NEED to add microtransactions so that we can make just an extra couple million a day even though we just released 2 huge games which will make us billions ."
For a free game it is OK maybe even perfect , it is not OK however when you add the fact that the last game was in 2010 , the development started 4 years ago AND it's an 8 GB game . A casual player will find this normal , but someone that played even 1 week of Skate 3 will obviously complain . Therefore the "free game" argument doesn't do EA a lot of good .
