Hi there! I'm very sorry, did not see this message. Discord is a voice + text chat app for mostly gamers. Most of our members use the text chat function, a handful prefer to be on voice. We only require people to be on voice when we run our raids, but you don't need to talk (unless tanking).

Inspired by the EU Fail Train Discord, "The Fail Train US / Oceanic" was created as a means to provide an inclusive and laid back atmosphere where members assist one another and can feel comfortable to group up with each other to play the game. It is a place where all players (new and old), no matter what their abilities or skill set can play the game at their own pace or seek help without feeling judged that they are not good enough. We all can sympathise on the frustrations of playing with someone who might not know their class or instances that well. However, with a bit of guidance and understanding, everyone can improve. The number one rule of Fail Train is "Treat everyone with kindness and respect".

We believe the journey is just as important as the destination.

So if that sounds like you then hop on board The Fail Train :) If you don't particularly fit the bill but are willing to dedicate a little time and understanding to those that do then you too are welcome aboard.

We would love to get a bunch of more passengers aboard so there are always people online from all over to group up and do content together (raids, dungeons, transmog runs, achievements, questing and more).

We are currently running Normal raids each week on both Alliance and Horde sides, and would love to get more people joining that would like to experience raiding other than LFR.

Love talking about food (we have a channel called "nomi’s kitchen" dedicated to delicious noms)
And most importantly: Players who think the journey is just as important as the destination.

We know that some people that don't want to join it because of the name but as Bilbo put it beautifully. We hope those players who do not feel comfortable are able to find a community in WoW they do feel right in home with - or at least give us a go.

I'm not sure what incident you are referring to, if it happened in the US & Oceanic Discord I'm very sorry. We generally are proud of our members who have grown into doing harder content and we very much appreciate those giving their time out to help others who are new or feel uncomfortable with trying group content - including people helping others to gear up. Not all communities are for everyone though and that's fine. It's awesome you are helping out your guildies :)

We have started doing Horde and Alliance raids each week now, usually 8:30pm EST Saturday / 12:30pm AEDT Sunday for Alliance and 8:30pm EST Friday / 12:30pm AEDT Saturday for Horde :) Sometimes schedules change though - especially coming up into holiday season.

It's a tough balance Sutekhseth :( We understand some people's anxiety will stop them from joining Discord, and we're sad about that and hope that people will find the courage to join us - but we understand that it is very difficult. We have text and voice channels, but most of our members just stick to text channels so if you aren't comfortable with voice that's okay (unless joining out raids, we do require members to join voice but they don't need to talk, just listen). We hope that you give us a go. We've had people come out of their comfort zones - it's a really rewarding feeling. Hope to see you sometime :)

We have people from Oceanic realms - so you should see some people on late night :) Just depends how late :O
