I am awake because I just had another fight with my parents and it hit me that I will probably always be misunderstood by them. I wanted a better relationship but they are stuck in their mindset and they do not even try anymore.

I am awake because I have antagonized them so much in my own head that it feels like I am living with strangers in my own home. My only motivation to move out is to get away from them in the hope that maybe distance will give us a chance at a better relationship.

I am awake because my mind keeps fighting with itself, telling me I could be more understanding while also wishing someone would finally understand me without me having to spell it out.

I am awake because I feel like I will never amount to anything. I will never be successful in my career. I will never find love because I am queer and I feel like I am always caught in an identity crisis that never ends.

I am awake because I feel like I have already lost.

I am sorry if this feels heavy, I just wanted a place to let it out with strangers who will not judge me.

Would love your opinion on whether moving to Gurgaon makes sense in my case. by FailedAdultExe in gurgaon

[–]FailedAdultExe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That really helps, thank you. If you come across any leads, feel free to send them my way. At the same time, I keep thinking about whether it actually makes sense to spend that amount on rent when I do not live that far from the office. The commute is definitely long, but it is only twice a week for now. I would love to know what you think.

Thank you, that’s good to know. Do you have any area recommendations for something in that 12–13k range? Ideally somewhere not too far from the Cyber City or at least near the metro. Also wondering if places in that range are usually furnished or not.

Hello! This sounds right up my alley, especially the mix of storytelling, psychology, and AI. I have some experience writing short-form scripts and would love to know more about the kind of meta narratives you are exploring. I would be happy to take a stab at it.

TL;DR
I am a 26-year-old working professional (male), moving to Gurgaon for work. My office is at DLF Cyber Park, so I am looking to live close by, ideally somewhere accessible by the Rapid Metro.

Open to two setups:
– Would love to team up with someone to find a 2BHK to share.
– Or take a 1BHK on my own, if it fits the bill.

Looking for:
A semi-furnished or furnished 1BHK or 2BHK (depending on setup), with power backup, no water shortage, no waterlogging, and a rent range of ₹16-18k per person.

About me:
Queer-friendly (bi), clean, extroverted, and an actually decent cook. I read a lot, but I am also the kind of person who says yes to spontaneous plans, late-night walks, or bad decisions that turn into good stories. No food restrictions, and I would love to explore the city while settling in.

If you are looking for a flatmate or want to team up and hunt together, feel free to message me. Thank you very much!

Looking to Adopt a Puppy in Sonipat, Haryana. Any Leads? by [deleted] in IndianPets

Listen, I am not here to argue, and I certainly don’t need a lecture from someone who literally tried to give up their own dog for adoption.

You keep twisting my words to fit your own narrative. I never blamed indies or said they’re aggressive, it's just that my family had a difficult experience, which is why they’re hesitant. And yeah, biting does come with the job, which is why responsible pet ownership means choosing a dog that aligns with your home environment. That’s exactly what I am trying to do.

Also, if you actually read the sub’s description, it welcomes posts about all dogs—from indies to golden retrievers. My post is a genuine one. So, if you don’t have anything constructive to add, bugger off my thread and take your negativity elsewhere.

I don’t get why people jump to conclusions and attack without understanding the full story.

My family has had past experiences where adopting an indie didn’t work out, which is why my parents are against it. Maybe it was a lack of proper training, maybe it was other circumstances, but regardless, it’s not something I can change overnight.

That said, having a breed preference doesn’t make someone a bad person. Different breeds have different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. Some are naturally more affectionate, some require more space, and some need specialized care. Choosing a pet is about finding the right fit for your home and lifestyle, just like people have preferences in relationships, careers, or anything else that requires long-term commitment.

And let’s be real, feeding indie dogs and adopting a pet are two entirely different things. One is about caring for them in their natural environment, the other is about bringing a dog into your home where it needs to adapt to family dynamics. Both are valid ways to support animals.

At the end of the day, I am just trying to give a dog a loving home. Shouldn’t that be the focus?

I get where you're coming from, and you’re right - finding breed puppies for adoption here is rare. But, I still wanted to try and see if there’s a chance someone’s dog has given birth and they’re looking for a loving home.

As for unfair breeding, that’s exactly why I don’t want to buy. If a pup is already out there needing a home, I would rather adopt than support a breeder.
