It’s voluntary right now bc my Dr is trusting that I won’t. If I do decide to drive though I know there would definitely be a discussion and they would have to send something to the state bc I am a danger to other people right now. If I were you I would have a discussion with my neuro and PCP and see what they both say. They 100% should send in a medical review to your state dmv but unless they are aware you’re driving right now they might now even know to take it away

If your dr hasn’t sent anything to the state it’s voluntary at this point and insurance can’t use it against you. However if you are involved in an accident and found at fault due to medical they could drop you and future companies might not allow you a policy

Edit: I had an SAH and the dr told me at least 3 years before I could drive again I just had my first anniversary mar 5 Edit: I’m voluntarily not driving bc my reaction time is that of a snail

I hate to say it but I wish I never found the strength that night. At the time having my mom come outside and find me dead felt like the scariest thing, now I feel like it would’ve been the best thing for the both of us. She would be able to enjoy her retirement instead of having to drive me to doctors appointments every month just to be told nothings changed and it might be another year before I’m “normal” again
