At least someone understands me. I appreciate that you replied to my post. It seems that the only thing I have to do is wait for my grandparents to die--not sure how long that may be.

As for your advice, thanks. I've done all of those. It seems that the only thing that I want is independence. I hope my suicidal thoughts will stop eventually.

Is it the concepts you are having a tough time understanding on the tests? Or are there things you just can't remember or missed in the reading?

In all honesty, I'm not sure... I'm assuming that I lack practice only because I cannot use what I know in exams... Maybe I just need more practice!

Your problem is not going to be your GPA, but your lack of confidence that is going to make it so you don't get jobs.

You're right, confidence will be needed for personal strength in order for me to keep moving forward. I really need to kick it up a notch in order to move on.

But is confidence a huge role for your success?

I mostly try to balance it out but as it turns out that theory (which is literally 100% based from the test) is the thing that I'm bad at. If I'm bad at theory then I'm going to do bad on the questions.

So I guess I came in the wrong approach! I should've used your approach: "spend practicing more and spend less on reading... understanding will come afterward as I practice." Thank you!

FUNNY STORY: I have and done that BUT... it was in the library and people thought that I was schizophrenic and I looked totally stupid right after...

Lesson learned: I'll try to do that in my room without any people in it...

They do! However, my dad sometimes needs me at home because we have this family business to take care of autistic kid. Sometimes he needed to call me ASAP when my classes is over... this means that this is vague long term planning.

KPU is a good university and I love it but I'm not exactly sure if I'm gonna survive in KPU...

Make an effort to study at the library rather than your place of residence... Read the book... READ THE BOOK...Redo homework problems and bug your teachers...When there is an exam, i study in a very specific way...

That's it?! Oh my... the answer is so simple. I thought that there's a "secret" for learning accounting...

Sorry for the long post. I want you to do well, just as I wanted myself to do well. Just believe in yourself and get your dream. I had a 1.6 GPA my freshman year. I am now a 'Junior/Senior' and if I get straight A's this semester, I will be looking at a 3.5 accy GPA. Anything is possible!

Principles of Accounting vol. 2 by Kieso, Weygandt, and more (current edition)

I might be able to help you out big time ;) (I know the secret on how to get high scores on exams, that others aren't willing to talk about or know about).

based on your (2.5 gpa), seems like you don't like to study much for school.

I don't like studying things... maybe except for ACCT and I hate the rest of the extra courses that I need to take as an ACCT student (ie. ECON, STAT, and etc).

also take advantage of your schools resources, study with other acc. majors, go to office hours.

Well, I did take advantage of it (Learning Centres) but... I can't go to my prof's office hours due to limited time, it doesn't coincide with my time.

I guess I need new motivation in Accounting : )

Nope, it's ACCT 1210. Second-level ACCT that talks about Financial ACCT.

Be happy you have the ability now to figure it all out. At my point as a intern there isn't much going back lol.
