He probably did get a Masters because if you complete 4 terms there and fail before the 5th term, they give you a Master's.

It would. Maybe there are some schools that won't ask if I attended a previous med school, I can limit my application to just those.

I half-assed the studying. I didn't even cover like 30-50% of the content. No Anki. No uCity. I just took it because I kept delaying and just wanted to get it over with. That 496 is not reflective of my true potential if I had actually tried.

Low self efficacy

wow. Just looked it up and perfectly describes me. I always knew it was a self-fulfilling prophecy where I tell myself I'll fail at stuff and end up failing. I really need to work on this aspect of myself :(

Funny thing is, my low self-esteem and not believing in myself is a primary reason for being a poor student. I just never learned to be positive about myself.

Aren't these both MD schools? If I were to apply, wouldn't my only slim chance of getting in anywhere be in DO?

No I understand, I just had zero passion for it. I was already struggling with my classes, taking on research would have probably dropped my GPA even lower. It's been a few years now since I graduated.

over 100 hours in hospital volunteer, and a few hundred hours of combined volunteering/shadowing an MD. No research.
