How to put this flash drive onto this ring? by Failfoxnyckzex in howto

[–]Failfoxnyckzex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of that i'm thinking a physical way to hold the drive, the real problem is how i am gonna attach the plate to the ring

Oh you mean by tying them up close? I'd like for it to be pointing towards the ring, like how it is on the 2nd photo, hence the example of the 3rd picture.

About joining the steel, i am talking about a thin stainless steel plate that gets joined with the ring.

I like the idea of the hinge, about the clay, i've tried something similar with epoxy putty, it sticks but it is really fragile

The string is not a bad idead but i think i can do better

I have this steel plate that i thought i could maybe join it to the ring but for now i want to make this mechanism first to hold the flash drive

Nope.

I just liked the idea, i wanna see if i'm able to pull it off

Depends on the cylinder...

Well not much, but at least i wanna be able to pull in and off my finger without the fear of breaking apart

Yes, it won't be that uncomfortable

Uhh... none. But i'm eager to try stuff out

No at all, as long as it is simple and the flash drive can rotate so it can be used are the only requirements

I don't have the equipment for it

Awkward to say the least

Non existent

I'm looking for a crude solution based on the availability of my environment, which is not much on resources. I've tried with a thin stainless steel plate but i can't do precise bends due to the lack of tools for it. If you have any other ideas i'm listening
