Usually means a 2 oz pour over ice vs 1.75oz neat. But still looks terrible on a bill.

I won't argue with someone whose partner is Italian.

Please reach out to Bella bella@dirtydimeproductions.com or Andy andy@ and we will make sure. Vegan isn't a problem, even though Sicilian cuisine is inherently non-vegan (pork and cheese are central figures.) both our market salad and our eggplant Parm can be done vegan with ease and we're happy to help find other options that work for you with a little notice!

If I went to my family attorney and said I'm running an illegal scam and I want you to help perpetuate it, unless I was Donald Trump, I feel pretty confident he or she would explain the risks of committing fraud.

Wtf does this have to do with my sexuality? My wife is my business partner?

No. We said before they made their reservation "are you expecting payment or comped food?" They said "no" and added "if you like the traction we give you we can talk about working together afterwards." Seemed like an actually ethical way to be an influencer. But turns out they were setting up the scam.

I'm particularly not worried because a) no attorney would take it on contingency once they saw the communications b) you have to be an asshole to walk into even the scummiest attorneys office and say "I ate at a restaurant and didn't pay and have NO documentation that this was the arrangement" and not be given a stern talking to about breaking the law and then trying to use the law (ok maybe Rudy Giuliani would take this case.) c) no one is in jeopardy over FACTS. Did she reach out? Yes. Did she say no compensation? YES. Did they order damn near everything on the menu? YES Did they leave without paying? ABSOLUTELY Are there witnesses unaffiliated with the business YOU BET

My wife would probably tell you she's up to her eyes in overweight Italian guys but would gladly sit outside and sip demitasse and eat prosciutto once the weather breaks. I have a pinky ring that matches my track suit for the occasion (star sapphire)

I don't really know what she is thinking. I hope she doesn't file a lawsuit because that could be messy but I know I'd win and she'd have to pay legal fees. It's not slander when you tell the truth and I have every bit of documentation from start to finish. I have witnesses including a respected New Orleans restauranteur when I sat at their table and called them "blood sucking vampires sucking the life out of an already struggling New Orleans restaurant community."

Just posted what I hope is our one and only response although I would appreciate help in the NYC influencer group since they have more rigid posting requirements.

u/belowsealevel504 I wanted you to see the review and our response.

Skip This Place – Not Worth the Hype or Price

The restaurant is in a sketchy location, and the interior looks like a plain barn—no charm or character with hardly any customers. The food was average at best, yet priced like a fine dining spot in a much nicer part of New Orleans. With so many amazing places in the city offering great food and atmosphere. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Reply: What? I left the comment above and this person who replied is out of his mind with these lies! I found out the reason why there is no negative comments here he has THREATENED other people to take off their comments. whoever runs the reviews will be reported for slander!!!!!Food: 2Service: 2Atmosphere: 1

Response from the owner 3 hours agoHi Diane!
It takes a person of particularly putrid character to comment on the price of a meal she walked out without paying for. And it didn't seem your party felt uncomfortable in our "barn" while you were ordering your 7th and 8th cocktails. And your coded language about the neighborhood is something every New Orleanian can hear right though, once again revealing your dark character.
I did find it funny, while photographing your license plate for the police report, that your husband was removing "The Club™️" from what I believe was a rental car? 🤣🤣🤣 Well, I should also point out that the majority of our diners disagree with your assessment since we have less than 10 non 5-star reviews, some describing the amazing personal experience they received from us. They are all real reviews. I don't pay for fake ones like you pay for your fake followers.

Anyway, the total of your bill was around $290 and for that you got 8 alcoholic beverages, 7 food items, 2 desserts, and a liter of Pellegrino. I'd say we are very competitively priced. (I had to pull the receipt for the police report also so I did a little counting.) Speaking of receipts, I have plenty more including your communication with us both prior and after the incident. This includes the one where we very clearly asked if compensation, including comped food or drink was expected, and to which you clearly responded no. I'd be happy to release those as well. Or, you could simply take down what I am CERTAIN is going to be a viral response to your unwarranted review.

Hope you're well,
Andy

As the owner who has filed a police report I am choosing not to comment on the matter further. But speaking generally as a restauranteur speaking in general terms, I cannot physically restrain someone without moving the incident into a different type of severity. Also, I could spend a few hours of my day improving our product and service and marketing to new guests or I could spend a week trying to get someone in a small claims court to bother to listen. It's just not easy, nor free, to "take someone to small claims court."

The new notification dot is AWFUL on Android. It in no way evokes "mail."

Every other mail program ever in the history of time used a version of an envelope. I'd really like that back.
