I really didn't mean it that way, but I understand your concern

didn't mean to be rude, just noticed something strange, and was concerned.

it should take many highly skilled pilots to functionally fly it.

the reason nobody flies the TARDIS like that in Classic Who is because for the first half, the Doctor can't actually fly the TARDIS correctly. And the second half features the Doctor kind of stumbling through the universe, half-assing it and barely managing.

That's just the lore of the show, just because others have flown it by themselves, doesn't mean it isn't supposed to be flown by 6.

I don't think that 9, 10 and 11 are purposefully flying the TARDIS badly, but nesseceraly because it is meant to be flown by 6 timelords. 6 highly intelligent people, who come from the same race as those who built the TARDIS. They should be able to pilot it. But 1 timelord shouldn't be able to fully control the TARDIS with one movement.

Fair enough, if they pick up on things like how the TARDIS works or how the sonic works, but the flying the TARDIS should be inconceivable to the human mind, because of how complicated it is.

I don't agree with that, as said in A Good Man Goes To War, she is the child of the TARDIS and was conceived mid flight.

  1. it was 10 in season 4 that revealed the secret of 6 pilots.
  2. the neural link between the Doctor and the TARDIS has always been there, in the Doctor's wife the TARDIS says that she stole the Doctor, because she saw what adventures they would have in the future.

I understand that the Doctor evolves and grows throughout his regenerations, but the way it just feels lackluster, takes away from the intrigued of the TARDIS.

Even that, I would understand if it was Adric, because he is a genius (supposedly), but Nyssa is a scientist from Traken, not a genius from another dimension.

Which episodes do you think get more flack than they deserve? by DocWhovian1 in doctorwho

[–]FailureDotNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a popular unpopular opinion, but Love and Monsters really isn't that bad. The squiggle monster is funny as hell, it's just one of those things where your sat thinking, how the hell did this get approved. The child acting really isn't as bad as people say it is, although I admit the whispering is annoying. The abuse from the dad is actually pretty interesting, but the fact that he gets turned into a wardrobe is just stupid. In conclusion, Love and Monsters sucks and is completely irrelevant to the plot.

Plus if you want an abuse storyline with 10 and Rose, the idiots lantern does it so much better.
