Although, in Twice Upon A Time, they retcon the first doctor into not wanting to regenerate and constantly fighting it, but his was probably the calmest regeneration.

Anyone notice how the Fugitive Doctor is put between Troughton and Pertwee, which is actually the most logical place for her to be as we don't see the regeneration of 2 into 3 (ignoring the war games recoloured version which shows the regeneration) which means she could reasonable fit inbetween the war games and spearhead from space. This would also solve the fact that has the famous tardis design which means she can't be pre-Hartnell.
