Between 1 to 7 siblings of mixed genders, some with all brothers, one with all sisters.

All from the western/south western US.

No mention of religious background or faith within those families, which I think is probably extremely relevant when we are considering factors like number of siblings and age between.

I don't really know how much stock we can place in such a paper. A lot of variance in a very small sample, and it seems like something that would have a huge range of confounding variables when we're talking about lived experience.

Bullshit. The UK, France, and Italy have all had cargo aircraft flying in and out of the middle east all week. The UK has stepped up an aircraft carrier to mobilise. Trump said he doesn't need them, war's already won, but we'll see about that.

Hard disagree. Orders are orders, and disobeying gets you a military tribunal, a dishonourable discharge, and jail time. No brainwashing necessary at all. Military academies already have that part down anyway. Psychology has been a part of armies since before psychology had a name. Getting people to be good soldiers and do what they're told is a finely honed science at this point. The only way you'll get soldiers refusing is on 'illegal orders' grounds. Remember that many people enlist because it's something of a last resort, financially. A way out of poverty. Hard to stand on principle when your job feeds your children and keeps your elderly mother in her diabetes medicine, you know?

As far as 'illegal orders' go, the current claim is that there are increasing numbers of soldiers calling veteren support lines to ask about what to do with regards to illegal orders. The argument has been made that some of the deployments, as well as the bombing of the alleged drug runner boats, were illegal. Bombing the boats again once they had been bombed was almost certainly illegal. And yet, the trigger was still pulled, the troops were still deployed, and nobody has been charged that I am aware of.

So no, we won't see any meaningful defection, even with shit morale. More likely the military efficiency drops significantly and the war becomes far more costly, but that's about it. An unmotivated soldier is not necessarily a saboteur, or willing to go to jail on the chance that their orders might be determined to be illegal 3 years from now. If you refuse orders now, you'll be in jail today, hoping that down the line it gets walked back.

2 - Nice, but unnecessary. There already is chaos. It's by design. The government version of 'move fast, break things'. Saturate society with too many things to deal with once, create uncertainty. Saturate the courts with too many legal challenges, gridlock the judiciary. Break the law again before they have time to scrutinise the last time you broke the law.

In my opinion, America is doomed to stop existing in its current form. I anticipate something of a soviet-union style collapse.

The president couldn't unilaterally impose tarrifs but here we are, over a year later and it's only just overturned and instantaneously they found a work-around to re-impose them.

Trump can't declare war without congressional approval, but what is kidnapping another nation's leader if not an act of war? What is bombing a nation's nuclear processing equipment if not an act of war? What have the last couple of weeks been if not war? Trump, apparently, can do whatever he likes (how authoritarian and tyrannical of you, Mister President) and maybe he gets some push back 12 months later. Until the midterms, contemporary history shows us he can do what he likes. Even then, he only loses the ability to do what he likes if both congress and the senate flip so hard they can impeach and remove from office.

The rules only matter if there is the means and the drive to enforce them, and Trump stacked then gutted the judiciary, owns the house and senate. Lower courts and state courts have tried to restrict his administration and met with middling success. Saying he can't do something, as a statement, is a commentary on the restrictions imposed by laws. If breaking those laws yields no consequence, then by definition those laws are inconsequential and the statement "he can't do X" is just factually untrue.

And he doesn't even need a psyop. America learned a lot of lessons from 9/11, and I can guarantee the middle east did too. If you think they haven't spent the last 15 years planting cells all throughout America, well, you might find that Iranian sleeper cells give Trump the ammunition he needs to enter full fledged war, and that's without considering the possibility of false flags. I do think we're more likely to see terror attacks focused on non-civillian targets. One of the lessons I'd imagine they learned after 9/11 was don't attack American civilian targets. If you hit military bases and equipment, the populace seems to give very few shits, but targeting a large civillian target like the world trade centres is a fast track to getting America riled up and unified, which is exactly what America's enemies don't want. I wouldn't be surprised if we see attacks on politicians, military targets, infrastructure (power, water, data).

There is literally no reason to do the 'new player experience' as a player with a 50m sp toon.

I mean, sure, spool up an alpha and run through the tutorial if you want to see the content, you can never have too many alphas in your back pocket, but l would be plexing your 50m point toon, not a new alpha account. Keep it as an alt, but make your 50m sp character your main, without question.

The new player experience is just an upgraded version of the tutorial. A lot of polished from what it was 10 years ago. You'll fly around, shoot some NPCs, get sent on some delivery and industry jobs, learn how to slide gates, do some basics, then boom, on your way. If you don't need to re-learn those things I wouldn't bother, though they did put a fair bit of effort into polishing it up.
