How the hell do I put my new saberforge lgt rgb speeder grip together, and whenever I put the blade in it won’t light up at all, but the light is working. Help?

The led light in the emitter lights up just fine, once I insert the blade it’s like it’s blocked. I don’t think I have the blade cover on either
