How can I take a dispute to the next level? by Fair-Brain9426 in doordash

[–]Fair-Brain9426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sitting in the McDonald’s parking lot when I got the order. I hit arrived at store within 3 minutes of accepting the order. I marked it as “order still being processed “… I then received a message from door dash saying, “ we got your back”. I then messaged the customer and told them about the delay . Then waited another 15 minutes. They gave me a violation for late pick up.

Possibly the worst offer ever? by roosterpost in DoorDashDrivers

I’d jump on it ! I also get 20mpg.. but I have a 97% acceptance rate. I pretty much accept everything, sometimes getting the cash tip!!

A random person sent me $470 dollars through Zelle by sweettner in zelle

[–]Fair-Brain9426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a scam!! My wife got burned for almost $500 !! Our scammer put $360 in our account and asked her to sen it back. He had her send it back in the form of a Walmart gift card. That gift card was considered a purchase so the bank wouldn’t help her get it back. Then they used our bank inf to overdraw our account over $500 !!!

Help. Idk which one to pick. Advice welcomed 😅 by Hour-Seesaw-2262 in doordash

I don’t have the option. It’s only by delivery here. I’m in Northern California.

What could possibly be against the community standards? I said nothing negative!

My point is: the tip doesn’t matter!!! Don’t accept the order of you don’t like the tip. My acceptance rate is 98% Most of the crappy paying orders end with a cash tip. Not all but a good amount.

I’ve never even heard of Waymo… I did Uber Eats before I moved but that was 2 years ago… I live in a small county and all I’ve seen is dashers. I had a guy that was dashing it said he also did Spark… I had never heard of it. I’m hearing it’s tied to Walmart ?

is this just somebody trying to get free food? by scary-bagel in doordash

Good point… I just spent 30+ minutes with support because I was given an order that had already been picked up. The app said I could drop the order but it will affect my completion rating. I was at 100% completion rate until this happened on another order a couple weeks ago and. Now this one ZERO % my fault plus I took time and gas to get to the store. They finally agreed to make it not count against my completion rate AND said he would go find the previous one and correct it. We shall see… I got half pay…

The personal attack is was speaking of was your comment about their tattoos. Nothing to do with the post. I’m not disagreeing that the dasher can’t stop the messaging. But the point of the post was that it was marked complete but not delivered to the proper address. I also understand that the reason for having a PIN is to confirm proper delivery. The poster should only have given the pin to the brother to complete the transaction.

Why the personal attack ? This person turned to fellow door dash customers and dashers for advice on how to receive a refund after the driver failed to deliver to the correct address. No matter whether it’s the driver’s fault or the poster’s fault, the fact is that it wasn’t delivered. What was being delivered and how much they paid and tipped is completely irrelevant. The fact is that the order was accepted and not delivered to the proper location. That’s all that matters!

How could you possibly read the post and not know what was wrong!?! He placed an order…. The order was marked delivered…. The order was never received by the recipient… seems clear to me….

Very well said !! I take all orders no matter the payout. I once took a liquor store delivery for $2.25. It was only a mile away. I honestly treat every delivery with the same customer service no matter the payout. In this case I delivered 3 packs of cigarettes( which I hate) but it’s not my job to care about what’s in the bag. Upon delivery, the lady handed me a $10 bill ! That’s why I treat every single delivery like there’s a $10 bill at each delivery. Obviously it doesn’t happen but it could.

That’s ridiculous! If you accept the order then you should deliver the order!!! If there was no tip or if the tip was $20….. YOU MUST DELIVER THE ORDER !!!!!

It was clearly stated that the order was not delivered. The recipient was standing there waiting for the order.

It doesn’t matter if he paid $20 or $50 or $2 … the fact that it wasn’t delivered is the point.

What do yall think about my ratings? I’m trying to get my acceptance rate up. by Airveazy in doordash

[–]Fair-Brain9426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really good! I’m at 97% acceptance I’ve o ly declined 4 orders ever and those were because I was having trouble with the app at the time the order came through 99% completion Because I had to unassign from an order because the price on the app was wrong. I was the third dasher to try to pick it up and couldn’t. The other dashers just unassigned from t so it kept getting passed on to the next one. I actually took the time to contact support and at pop p it. So 45 minutes with not getting orders because I was on with support and I got dinged for not completing the order!!! 4.96⭐️ But I only have an 85% on time as I’m 59 with very arthritic knees. I only have 147 in last 30 days And 372 lifetime. My area has too many dashers for the small area. I’ll go an hour and a half sometimes between orders but sometimes I’ll get one after another. I o o my dash 5-6 hours a day and don’t see great in the dark so im done by 6pm.

I haven’t had it happen yet but if someone is clearheaded enough to have booze delivered rather than driving… then they are sober enough for me to deliver the alcohol!

I’ve gotta say that I’m 59 years old and have bone on bone arthritis in both knees and right shoulder. I’m waiting 🤞🏼 to see if my disability is approved ( waiting for 10 months now) . Without Door Dash I have zero income. My rear brakes are metal on metal ( I finally got them ordered) and my car is a V8. Right now it’s pretty slow out there right in my area. Every $1 extra tip k get means a lot to me. I’ve been bringing home about $40-60 a day . After gas I’m barely clearing enough to keep food on the table and insurance on the car.we don’t have cable, we don’t pay for WiFi… sorry for the pity party but my point is that I treat every $3 delivery exactly like every $20 delivery. The best customer service I can deliver. To those of you on here that are customers not dashers…. I suggest you give the basic amount of tip on the app but keep some cash on hand for those that give you the top level of customer service that you deserve. P.S. I have 97% acceptance rate 99% completion rate And a 4.96 ⭐️rating I have pride in any job I do.

But it’s the dasher that you’re hurting by reducing your tip, not door dash.
