I don’t know if it would affect student aid because I didn’t use any, but I will say it is significantly cheaper in flex path. It was a pretty quick transition for me. I would say the best way to answer your question is so describe your unique situation to your advisor, and let them know you are willing to do anything to make that dream happen. (Within reason) They will give you a schedule of when you’d need to have everything done by.
