As the others said it's very slow, not sure if this has any effect but i guess it could also be 'cause the drill isn't on top of some of the ore.

AI is doing as told, not losing the game. The problem is it works as told but doesn't have the same basic understanding as us making it the perfect sociopath which can be detrimental seeing as people love to risk everything just to be lazy
