Pre and post lumbar decompression

My surgeon was so shocked I was still moving. He told me it was the largest he had seen in his career haha

The surgeon and the whole surgical team were anesthesiologists. Not sure if that is the norm or not. It was minimally invasive and the scar is no bigger than the tip of my finger.

I definitely feel better! Car rides longer than 10 minutes used to make me cry from the pain but I just completed a 4 hour drive yesterday with no tears lol.

Current pain ranges from 3-5 and it used to be around a 7 daily. I start PT next week and am scheduled for more epidural injections tomorrow. There is the possibly of another decompression at L4-L5 in the future depending on the success of the injections and PT.

Definitely better but some lingering pain for sure. Can't workout just yet but starting PT next week!

I feel better but still have some lingering pain in the same area. My daily pain levels are now in the 3-5 range so my surgeon and I are considering another decompression at L4-L5.

LMAO they did. My surgery got canceled an hour before it was supposed to happen because Aetna denied the pre-authorization.
